Seeing several players post links to their gear on Athletes Thread tonight. Not sure if it just dropped or if they are capitalizing on the hype around the retro theme. Each player has LOTS of items - like in the 50 count range.

The Jerseys are sick! I love them and want to use home and away versions as alternates.

I'm not superstitious but I am a little stitious. Not crazy about changing things in the middle of a good season. I do love those those from the Horry picture and it should be a crime not to have the true traditional logo somewhere, love it on the shorts. I do like that Oats seems to want to connect to the true culture of Alabama as a whole. Whether it's what he wears every game or holding down the true logo. The university strayed for a while, but he seems to get what the Alabama brand should be.

I remember being down 17 to Auburn last year and saying I can't believe we decided to wear a different uni (Red) at home vs Auburn. It worked out but yea.

It's totally meaningless from a basketball standpoint, but I appreciate the fact that Oats still dresses up for games. Way too many coaches have fully leaned into the athleisure thing and I just don't care for it. Not saying they need to go all out like Stackhouse, Wright, or Pitino, but only a select few like Huggy Bear can really pull off the track suit look.

It's odd that basketball has so many uniforms changes while football does not. I'm not sure why that is. Not just Alabama, everyone. Nobody has kept the same jersey over the long haul. Maybe it's because there are fewer athletes and more games, so there's a desire to change it up and it's easier to do that for a dozen guys than 100.
