Posted byMessageTeagueTide Hoops | 6-4 (0-0) by TeagueHoly shite, I just realized the Arizona game starts at 10pm. Looks like a nice 4 hours of sleep for the one day a week I actually have to get up and drive an hour into the office. Fantastic.
Sounds like Thursday should be a well timed sick day for you. I predict your stomach will start feeling bad after Wague gets his 3rd foul with 8 min left in the first half while AZ has only 3 fouls on their whole team.

That sounds about right.

Yes you want to not have bad losses. Thats a main reason Arkansas is ranked 50 - 100 depending on where you look because they lost to #117 UNC Wilmington at home.
It seems like Arky does this every year before Muss gets them rolling in conference and tourney time.

They usually do good in the out of conference schedule but only play two or three good teams. It's the SEC schedule they usually have a rough start to.
They were 11 and 1 in the out of the conference last year but started 1 and 5 in SEC play.
Two years ago they went 10 and 2 in the out of conference then they started SEC play 0 and 3.

In their defense they have played a tougher Non-Conf this year. Their SOS so far is 64th where usually it’s in the 2 and 300s

Yeah they have a harder out of conference this year and also probably aren't as good as in recent years. They're 54th on KenPom and 98 on the net.
Yet a lot our fans are disappointed and think we aren't good and we’re ranked 9th and 11th. It could be a lot worse.

We’ll play against former Bama guard Jaden Bradley tomorrow night. His numbers are down this year from last year, this year he is at 2 assists and 4 points a game, last year for us he averaged 3 assists and 6 points a game. He’s playing about 19 minutes a game on average, about the same as he was for us last season.

What about it is on Steroids? Hard to imagine anyone running it better than Oats, we are #1 adjusted offense right now.

He's probably not talking about it being better. Probably just higher tempo and more threes.

Kentucky was basically running Oats offense the first part of the season, and were having a lot of success doing it, but now they have reverted back to Cals outdated offense with two bigs playing at once now that Bradshaw is healthy.

- The first possible shot is the best possible shot, where three-point field goal attempts are preferred over shorter shots.[1]
- Shoot as many three-pointers as possible.[1]
- In terms of defense, giving up an uncontested layup is better than a shot clock violation.[1]
- Always double team the person with the ball.[1]
- Every player but the shooter goes for the offensive rebound.[7]
- Offensive rebounds should be sent back for another three-point attempt, not a shorter putback for two points.[7]

You’re seeing it with us too. Bruce’s base O for years has been the flex. We’re running the 5 out as our base now.

Vanderbilt is absolutely awful. Stackhouse probably fired after this year.

I hope we win up there. Start off SEC play right….remember with our previous coaches we could never win up there? Hell Gottfired could never win on the road! Thankful to have Nate!!
