Makes sense but I thought Moore would go. Perhaps not highly rated by the NFL.

Roydell Williams is supposedly returning. Interesting.

Wish Arnold was returning and Lawson was going pro.

Also, JC last play he was abused by a Michigan defender

I like Roydell but I hope we tell him to go into the portal. It’s Jam and Justice time

Justice should be the starter next season. He looked good in his limited carries on Monday.

The flashes we've seen from Jam and Justice this year make me think Jace and Roydell should be thanked, and then we move on... Justice's runs in the Rose Bowl looked good

I hope they both return. Lawson wasn’t perfect, but I’d have a hard time finding a better MLB. Jihad was the one that seemed lost most of the season. I think he’ll be better next season though

They were so many plays this season where there was a seam that Jam or Justice would have hit for big plays….that Jace wasn’t explosive enough to get through before they closed up.

Agreed. I think Justice had the best vision of all the RBs that played in the Rose Bowl. And he has the athleticism to compliment the vision.

Also, in regards to Campbell... I think the experience he gained this year will cause him to be a real force at MLB next year.

Turner was upset about the way he was used in the game. He evidently said he was not allowed to rush the passer, was used more in coverage. He did not agree with the decision. Obviously he was upset about the loss too.

I am not sure how much Alabama does it anymore but some OC's on teams we have played the last couple of years do this funny little thing where they study film and figure out how Alabama D adjusts to specific shifts and motions. One of those shifts moved Turner back off the line and into the pass coverage scheme rather than rushing the passer. Texas and Michigan both did it to Alabama.

CJ Dippre update: Jan. 4

Alabama starting tight end CJ Dippre is expected to stay for his senior season, The Tuscaloosa News has learned. He transferred to Alabama from Maryland ahead of the 2023 season. He was used primarily for his blocking but also caught 11 passes for 187 yards over 14 games. Dippre played the most snaps of any tight end with 524 this past season, per Pro Football Focus. The next closest was Robbie Ouzts with 370. Having him back is significant considering he is a veteran and a physical player. As a senior in his second year with the program, Dippre should have a chance to play even more of a leadership role in 2024.

He was a major weapon all season long. Hope that we can find a kicker who can do what Will did.

Can't we bring in a nickel or something and take Turner out of coverage completely to assure that he will be rushing the QB?

I doubt we will ever have somebody as good as Will again. I will gladly take somebody who can just do what Adam Griffith did.

Two of the best games I have seen from a Alabama punter were in the Sugar Bowl loss to Ohio St and the Rose Bowl loss to Michigan.

Scott and Burnip had two helluva games. Scott was the best punter in the nation his freshman year and was robbed of the Ray Guy Award because they didn't want to give it to a freshman at the time.
