Alabama could hire a homeless person off the streets to coach and someone one want to hire them to a promotion.
Can’t turn down a promotion but damn. Bala was a find and we get him one damn season.

Here's an update from an hour ago:

Quick Update: I have been informed that Bala will not be the DC at Georgia Tech. He has quite a bit of interest from other programs, however I would not be shocked to see him return to Tuscaloosa in order to add more value to his name.

fricking Gus man
Who are the 31 coaches who ranked Georgia ahead of Alabama in final poll?
quote:
From the final Coaches Poll:
Nick Saban's final top five: 1. Michigan, 2. Washington, 3. Texas, 4. Alabama, 5. Georgia.
But the final result of the full poll meant several coaches listed Georgia ahead of Alabama on their ballots.
The most notable discrepancy: Central Florida coach Gus Malzahn voted Georgia as No. 3 and Alabama at No. 8. The former Auburn coach's ranking of Alabama was the lowest on any of the 63 ballots, with Missouri and Oregon appearing ahead of the Tide.

wow, # 8 …Gus just can’t help himself.
- I like Bala, hope we hold onto him for continuity.
It never fails…every time we make the playoffs, here come the “coaching poachers”.
There’s never been a head coach that’s had to deal with this to the extent that Saban has.

Ah crap. ESPN Chris low just said Saban is retiring. shite

When do we hear from Saban. I need to hear it from his mouth. This feels like a bad dream.

Roydell visiting FSU this weekend. Crazy how many of our guys are headed there.
At first I wondered how the current FSU players would treat the Bama guys, but then i realized all the FSU players that were on the team that the CFP Committee snubbed either declared for the draft or transferred

That wide receiver room looks a little thin.

Getting Bond out of the portal and Ryan Williams to re-commit would go a long way in improving the WR room.

Sure would like to find some height at the wr position!

Remember Niblack and Odom are basically receivers

I also have no doubts that Deboer is going to get a lot out of our WRs, even if we are thin.

Posted in another thread but probably belongs here…
Just saw TRob to UGA on Instagram. Posted from their official football account. He’s their co-DC/safeties coach now. Wonder if this means Schumann or muschamp moving on?

I saw that as well.
Haven't seen any news of UGA coaches moving, and it seems odd to have 3x Co-DCs.
Obviously, it means Schumann to Bama (hope can will things into being)
