re: Tide Baseball 31-27 (12-17)

my .02 cents worth:
1. handling of the pitching staff, as in when to pull/insert pitchers. case in point
was the situation with hitt yesterday and macmillan today.
2. he’s too set in his hitting order. he moved a couple of guys around after weeks of needing to. with the group we have, the lineup could be shuffled almost daily. hamiter may be the worst #2 hitter in the conference. but he’s there every game. imo you just need a better contact person that high in the order.
3. he doesn’t exude strong leadership qualities, at least as far as tv will allow it to be seen. i may be totally wrong, however.
4. he needs to get off 3rd base and become a presence in the dugout! talk to on deck hitters. give expectations, encouragement, etc. defense comes off the field and he goes to the coaching box. there’s little time for interaction in that scenario.
