They should have had a better plan. This rain has been in the forecast for a while. It’s not like it snuck up on them

its kind of hard to reschedule an event like this. They might have to shorten the games? Play through the night?

Looking at radar, I don’t see much baseball being played today

But I mean.....what is the alternate plan to counteract 48 hours of nonstop rain? There aren't exactly many if any options other than playing inside, which is not an option. They couldn't move it up to start Monday. They have to be finished by Sunday. The rain exists all over the area where the tournament is.

It kind of is what it is until rain stops.

Why not? Just fly down to Miami and use the Marlins stadium. It's not like any fans would notice.

Yeah, I figure they will go to single elimination for round 2, then MAYBE go back to double elim.

Just in case, we need to figure out a way to steal one more game from Arkansas.

Would moving some of the games to a nearby field suffice?
Like the Barons stadium downtown.
Play half there and half in Hoover.

I think Samford’s or UAB’s would be more in play if they were to do that. I’m sure it’s been explored, especially with more rain in the forecast tomorrow. It’d suck for the fans though.

Looks like they may get 2 games in today before another line of storms get here around 7 or 8.

They have Samford under contract for situations like this, apparently. I'd assume if the rains go and the only issue is time they'll move some games there.

Arkansas HC Dave Van Horn will not be coaching the team today.

It's apparently nothing serious, but he will not be in the dugout this afternoon.

if this AU game does not go long we should get 7 innings in before the rain.

Horrible swing and trying to steal Williamson?? What?

Bases could be loaded with no outs if we didnt try and steal one of the slower guys on the team smh
