Think of this roster now and compare it to what CKD inherited in 2024

Tyler Booker is the only guy that would start on this offense.
The 2024 roster had serious deficiencies.
The entire roster from top to bottom is drastically improved at every single position group. They even have solid Kickers and Punters now.
Brown and Crowell make-up a 2012 level Bama RB duo, the WRs are electrifying, and the TE room is deep.
The 2024 offense had more problems than even I can list in just one post.
It’s apparent that CKD just needed 2 seasons to bring in the pieces he needs to make this offense look like the ones he had at UW.
Btw, that 2024 team was still just 1 win away from the Playoffs, and last years group found ways to win close games and make it to Atlanta/Playoffs/Rose Bowl.
This is CKD’s team now. These are his players that he brought in. I am quite pleased.

You probably weren’t “sold” in 2024 either, yet they allowed the fewest points in the SEC and top10 Nationally.
Doubt you were “sold” last year either, and they finished top10 in Total D.
Again, they aren’t going to shutout everyone they play.
Again, they have allowed fewer yards AND points than Kirby and Georgia’s defense over the past 2+ seasons.
I suppose you aren’t sold on Georgia’s defense either then.
Clearly #5 is struggling right now, but I personally don’t think it will last.

Wild that people argued Deboer inherited a Lambo when he literally inherited a roster (minus 40+ players that transferred or declared like Kool-Aid, Turner, Latham, Arnold, Eboigbe, Bond, Downs, etc) that was literally one play away from losing to three dog shite teams with Nick Saban at the helm.
Oh, and was blown out at home by a team Deboer beat.
They expected him to take remnants of that team and win every game 637383-0.

Very glad we are doing so good this year on offense and defense has been ok. But giving up 216 yards rushing today is concerning.

Running game and #77 needs to get in another gear.

I would say it’s been a work in progress for a process…and we are used to a particular process…but it’s different now then it was and the new process is trending up but it’s definitely one game at a time and the standard is the same

He’s got his QB now, too. Milroe and Ty were talented players and did a lot of good things under DeBoer, but they were inherited from Saban. Keelon is his guy and it shows.

It is different now, and Saban left because he hated the greed and chaos of NIL and unlimited transfers. I had never heard of a college general manager until Courtney Morgan flew in with DeBoer- the only assistant on that first flight. Courtney and that position on other teams insulates the head coach some from all the bullshite of dealing with player agents, NIL arrangements, etc. It really us a different world from Saban’s.
