The problem is that one of the tradeoffs these doofuses make for the benefits of being college football players is that they are under a microscope or spotlight 365/24/7 and they don’t have the privilege of getting to screw up and have it be no big deal like some unknown biology major.

I know what reckless endangerment is. My point is how the hell did he get himself into that kind of situation. I don't think I've ever driven faster than 20 MPH on campus in the hundreds of times I've been there.

Exactly. It’s one thing to be on the open road road speeding or if you’re dumb enough to try and elude police chasing you.

But you do that on a campus or around a school zone it’s a whole different level of charges. I don’t understand why you would try and out run the police for just speeding. You’re not going to get away, it’s really almost impossible in this day and age.

I suspect he had a reason to elude the police and I’m sure as time goes on we will find out.

Worthy of arrest?

No. Not anything remotely close.

It’s really not hard to go all the way through life without doing anything that dumb.

As others have said, based on current information (meaning facts could appear that make the incident look worse or not as serious) it isn’t the end of the world and shouldn’t be an Alabama career ender but it’s incredibly selfish, irresponsible, and stupid and it’s wrong to frame it in any other way.

Had little idea that a quarter of the board is even squarer than me. Even I got arrested in college and should've been a half dozen more times.

Before I was born again, but still.

I mean, do some of you guys have any dude in you?

Yea, if you'd given me NIL money when I was in college I don't think I'd graduated, I partied way too hard with no money.

But, if I was a football player with structure in my daily life I may have been different, or I might have went out and made it rain on a Saturday night, who knows. I hope you guys have/had more fun in life and don't just sit around watching Bama tape all day.

i once had a 1976 camaro that had a 1974 pontiac 455 motor and transmission in it. i also loved beer and or evan williams, bacardi rum, tequila, so yeah, i did dumb stuff that resulted in arrest, once or twice, dont really remember which.

You've never been drunk in public or pissed on a wall in an alley when you couldn't find a bathroom? Because you can absolutely be arrested for that kind of thing.

There's a whole lot of behavior that on its face isn't that bad until Deputy Dipshit shows up in a bad mood.

Nope.

Like I said, it’s really not hard to avoid being arrested. Hundreds of millions manage to accomplish it.

I was arrested because someone stole my dog and I knocked on their door to get him back. They arrested me for trespassing.

You consider just letting them steal your dog and not doing something dumb like getting arrested?

I was willing to have a civil conversation about it. They had to know someone in the police department because I got arrested and they got zero punishment for stealing the damn dog.

Thankfully, the bullshite charges were dismissed. Still got arrested though.

Sounds like your idea of a wild time was driving 2 miles per hour below the speed limit in your VW Rabbit down to Krispy Kreme when the hot and fresh sign was turned on.

I’m sorry you feel like illegal activity is required to have fun, or for that matter engage in risk taking behavior.

Here’s a secret. It isn’t, as proven by the overwhelming majority of people.

The fact that you think you must be arrested to be a man shows just how immature you still are.
