I am listening to local sports talk hear in New England. Nothing yet on Patricia and Judge.

I would be surprised if Belichick fires them, they will most likely be reassigned if they are moved at all, unless Kraft really decides to put his foot down but I don't see it.

Despite the Boston Globe banner pic and nfl handle, it does look to be suspect.

Well, that sucks.

Considering their time with Belichick, it's the more likely outcome. Move Patricia back to defensive coach and let Judge do whatever besides be OC.

Simon Charles@S_CharlesNFL·Follow #BREAKING: The Patriots have fired OC Matt Patricia. The Patriots ranked 26th in total offense this season and showed major regression. Robert Kraft has told sources that their are still more changes to come…

Based on a review of some of the tweets from that account, it’s 100% a fake/parody account.

Belichick is such a dick with the way he's treated Mac. You can't publicly support your second year QB? He's mumbling, non-committal comments about Mac this week and all season are BS. It's almost as bad as Flores was with Tua. It's not like Mac hasn't shown he can be a good NFL QB. The moves last offseason did absolutely nothing to help their second year QB who showed promise as a rookie. Bizarre. Brady has won a Superbowl without Belichick... Belichick can't say he's won shite without Brady.

Who do you think discovered Tom Brady? You may hate BB or dislike him or whatever the case may be, but he’ll go down probably as the best HC in NFL history. Is he a dickhead, most of the time yes but that’s just BB personality and has been his entire coaching career.

The NFL is a business and like any business ppl are going to get fricked wether they deserve it or not. And especially QB’s are the first to get the blame but that’s the nature of that position.

Maybe Mac doesn’t fit in that system and he needs traded. That happens all the time in that league and if teams are interested he’ll have no problem landing somewhere. Mac will be fine whatever happens.

Brady was a 6th round afterthought. Pure dumb luck. Of course, luck counts, but I doubt Belichick as a defensive guy was pouring over Brady's Michigan film and just saw what nobody else saw. The guy slobbered all over Cam Newton when he was sucking that one season, but acts like he can't say anything positive about Mac. Trade Mac to New Orleans for a 3rd round pick then.

The Saints fans would never accept a Bama QB in New Orleans.

Longtime head coach Bill Belichick met with Patriots owner Robert Kraft this week after the team was eliminated from the playoffs in Week 18 following a loss to the Bills. According to a report from NBC Sports Boston, Belichick, 70, came out of the meeting safe, but perhaps other members of the coaching staff did not — particularly on offense.

“Don’t expect a dog-and-pony show announcing firings or who’s coming in for an interview. Belichick isn’t going to put anyone’s head on a spike for the pleasure of the masses,” the report read. “But my understanding is offensive coaching reassignments are going to happen and several offensive coaches are under consideration for the Patriots’ 2023 staff.”

quote:

Patricia, 48, had no prior NFL experience calling plays and the move was viewed with skepticism from the outset, with beat reporters noting the offense looked disjointed in training camp. It didn’t get get much better once the season started, with Jones seen yelling at Patricia on multiple occasions during regular-season games.

quote:

One year appears to have been enough for Kraft, and now the Patriots seem set to hire an actual offensive coordinator with NFL experience. A widely speculated candidate would be former Texans head coach Bill O’Brien, who was the Patriots’ QB coach from 2009-10 and the offensive coordinator in 2011. O’Brien has been the offensive coordinator at Alabama since 2021, but could be looking to jump back to the NFL.

I'd have a rift with Belichick too if I was Jones. He torpedoed his entire second year, supposed to be when qbs make a big jump, but Jones had chaos and incompetence thrust on him, and he still has no playmakers at receiver and his online is horrendous. All that and the defense sucked too. Friggin Matt Patricia calling plays, wtf
