If Harris had 12 carries in the first half and got that many in the second half, plus or minus 2, I would be ecstatic. I also believe that Harris would have more than 38 yards with 12 carries. Most of it might come from 1 or 2 big runs but I think he would break a 15+ yard run at least once.

Our gameplan should resemble what Mullen did against us, honestly.

I agree with this. Plus, our defense is a hell of a lot better than Mississippi State's so that gameplan might get us a win.

Obviously, Jalen will have to throw the ball to win, but if we can get 3rd and 4ish instead of 3rd and 9 or 3rd and 8... that'd be great.

People claim that our WRs are constantly running wide open, but outside of a few plays this year, I don't recall seeing it happen much. And I don't count the plays where Hurts is getting chased around by unimpeded defenders.

Check my stats for the auburn game when Hurts wasn’t rushed out of pocket less than 2.5 seconds. OL has work to do.

Iirc, he's failed to see a few in almost every game. Too focused on Ridley. Blanketing (even doubling up on) Ridley was a key part of AU's defensive game plan in the IB. It was obvious and it was working for them. We failed to adjust. Daboll should've told Jalen to look everywhere else instead of at Ridley.

You have to admit that some of those were Jalen getting happy feet.

I just want to win. We've talked everything to death. Just win and advance. That's all I ask.

I think we should run the ball 40+ times, have a 35 minute TOP, and wear their D out. They are very talented up front, but not a lot of depth. those 3 yard carries in the 1st and 2nd quarter might turn into 5-6 yards in the 3rd, and 7-8 in the 4th while we milk clock and control the ball.

I actually feel pretty decent about this game. Better than I felt last year and I went to that one in Tampa with an uneasy feeling.

I felt pretty damn good going into Tampa last year, obviously I was wrong

I thought our defense was too good for us to lose to anyone last year. Damn you Deshaun Watson

We basically have the same offensive personnel as last year except better receivers and a worse playcaller. The Clemson DC has this offense's number

Whatever we do, our offensive gameplan needs to be pretty much the opposite of what we did against them last season. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure our offense played inside a phonebooth last year (outside of OJ Howard), and it didn't work out

I disagree. Losing OJ Howard and Ardarius Stewart and gaining a couple of freshman 4 and 5 stars did not strengthen our WR core IMO.

Oh but it did work out...until we stopped doing it.

It is hard to see on TV, but you can see it pretty easily in person. Ed Orgeron talked about it a lot after the game with them regarding how our WRs abused their DBs.

To be fair, every team has open receivers, but we seem to have them on most plays. Daboll needs to realize Jalen isnt going to see thos guys on longer plays and needs to call something else.

That's fair.
I only went to the UT game and noticed it once or twice.

I def noticed it once in the lsu game, but in general, hurts passed fairly well in that game.

I really feel we should use harris and then Jacobs. To me Jacobs is a X factor type back to be used every other series or so with harris. Could really keep offense going especially in the 1st half catching some screens out of the backfield. also use him with some wheel routes. unstoppable

3rd and 4 with Jalen is night and day better than 3rd and 9. So many more options.

The short 3rd and 4th downs against MSU were critical. Jalen did well on them.
