Wonky thumb accidental downvote.
Why Harris isn't fed the ball more is truly dumbfounding - seriously, I just don't understand it. The guy will be running hot moving the chains and then its as if Daboll forgets his number. It's maddening.

def noticed it once in the lsu game, but in general, hurts passed fairly well in that game.

Might want to rematch that game or look at the stats. The only game he passed well in was Mercer and that's because they gave our receivers 5 yard cushions.

I remember it clearly. Maybe you need to re-watch it?

Hope it Juedy because Foster would catch the ball, run to the endzone, run down the line of it, juke backwards, do a spin, run 5 yards back, strike a pose, run back to the line and get tackled before scoring.

I've got a bad feeling the offense will be more of the same

^^^THIS^^^

is what most of my friends and family think will happen. sadly, so do i. this staffs determination in turning jalen into a heisman winning best bama has ever seen super qb, is seemingly more important than the end results of the game. right or wrong, this is just how it appear to us.

I don't feel good about this game because our game plans with Jalen in big games has been pretty bad for 2 years and counting. If we ever would just commit to running the ball(using some creativity, not just right up the middle), burning clock, and throwing quick slants and screens that require no time to develop and no reads, I'd like our chances in games like this. For whatever reason, Saban seems to give his OC's way too much latitude, when he should tell them: "run the damn ball 80% of the plays this game or I'll fire you on the sidelines."

Our gameplan in the 2nd half of the MSU game should be our offensive identity. We saw the same thing the 1st drive of the second half in the IB. Lots of power runs outside, quick passes, etc. That's almost unstoppable with our skill players if we would commit to it. Instead, I expect to see a lot of runs right up the middle for 2 yards, and a lot of long developing pass plays as if Tom Brady was our QB. It's maddening. Hope Saban takes control and tells Daboll what type of gameplan we will have. That's our only hope.

Here are his stats from LSU.

C/ATT YDS AVG TD INT QBR
J. Hurts 11/24 183 7.6 1 0 53.1
TEAM 11/24 183 7.6 1 0

11 of 24 less than 50% for 183. QBR of 53. You were wrong.

People claim that our WRs are constantly running wide open, but outside of a few plays this year, I don't recall seeing it happen much.
Dude.

You can't get THAT wide open on quick outs and short stuff like that. But the receivers will run across the face of their defender on outs or get on top of them(this happens inside the 10 all the damn time) and Hurts will look at them(because routes like that are designed to drop back and boom, fire the ball to the guy with the step) and not even THINK about throwing the pass.

It blows my mind.

I'm actually ok with him being hesitant on the 15 and 20 yard throws when DBs are backing up so he has room to run when he isn't 100% confident in throwing.

But frick. On outs and shite to the near pylon...THROW THE frickING BALL WHEN YOUR WR MAKES HIS BREAK.

Dude funky really believes there is no problem with Hurts as a passer. He said Hurts had a great game at LSU and I hope he reads the above stats I posted clearly proving him wrong. He thinks Hurts is A ok and that we are idiots. Unbelievable.

The stats against LSU are misleading, jh made some tight window throws that helped move the ball. LSU stacked the line to contain the run. My god LSU fans even said jalen was the difference in the game. It's bad when opposing fans give more credit than our own do. He was 11-24 yes, but had at least 3 drops that I recall, maybe more.

I never said that. You are making shite up.

I said that he had a good game, and he most certainly did. I implore you to Google 'Hurts LSU 2017' and see virtually every news article from that game expressing the opinion that Hurts was the difference in that game with his legs and arm.

Without all of the drops and negating penalties, his stats that you are relying on in your argument would be A LOT different. Nonetheless he played through that stuff and had a good game.

The vast majority of reputable sports journalists agree with me.

Again, if you've read my posts since the AU game, you will see that you are clearly pulling these comments out of your arse.

To Reauxltide's comments, I have expressed plenty on here that Hurts has a problem with his conservatism in throwing the ball. He doesn't trust his arm often. Which is troubling, because he has a good arm.

But there is a big difference between that, and claiming that guys were running "wide open" constantly when that is simply not the case.
