I would risk the growing pains with KR for his upside.

Might mean dropping a game, but they've made it so easy to make the playoffs now anyway.

Mack being the backup gives you a veteran system guy to turn to if something goes south or a spot start is needed.

i'm still thinking Mack starts the season with KR getting a lot of live reps, hopefully many before game is in hand.

Hoping for KR from first play on.

Mack is there if KR inexplicably is horrible, but I'm on board letting the young guy grow...especially now that you basically get 2 mulligans and still make the CFP.
Mack's limited game reps didn't really scream starter last year either.

If he's Tom Brady meets Randall Cunningham like everybody here seems to think, BAMA might have to play against him next year anyway. You think teams won't come poaching if he's all-world like people on here think? And he has a great season. Can't worry about that. You play the player who gives you the best chance to win.
