Pete Nakos from On3 put out an article this morning predicting QB battle winners across the country. Here's his take on Alabama:

Alabama is 20 days into fall camp, and On3 sources say a leader has emerged in the Crimson Tide’s quarterback battle. Austin Mack has been with Kalen DeBoer and Ryan Grubb dating back to Washington, but Keelon Russell’s talent has stood out. A former five-star recruit, he sat behind Ty Simpson with Mack last year, waiting to compete for the starting quarterback job. Those sources spoke highly of Mack’s consistency in the early goings of camp, but Russell had multiple touchdowns in Alabama’s first scrimmage last week. His ability to extend plays and escape the pocket is a premium, too, especially with Alabama’s offensive line still shuffling itself out.

My thinking is that if Mack hasn't clearly separated after this many years in the system, I'm on the Keelon train.
