So who do we want off the Oregon staff and team to come with Lanning?

I’m not hating having Tosh back as DC.
I think Ty Simpson is going to be gone now so Dante Moore would be nice.
I’d love to get Will Stien too. If he can make Bo Nix great imagine what he can do with Milroe! Unfortunately I think Oregon will offer him the HC job to keep him.

A 5’10” QB with this oline? No thank you. Lol

May have heard there would be an actual open QB competition this spring, so he stuck around.

I mean Bryce wasn't bad lol. DG is clearly a better QB than Milroe with five years of experience as a starter. I'd take him.

The oline was better then. I’m not a huge fan of a mercenary one year QB personally.

Milroe only has one year left anyways. No difference. Take DG and let Sayin/Simpson develop behind him. Thank Jalen for his service but DG is clearly better. It would be a mistake to pass on him.

Yeah. But Bryce was the top pick in the draft as a junior. Gabriel is lucky to be walking. I can't believe he's still playing after his injury

I think his odds of playing time went up with Saban's retirement and I don't really see any reason why it would be the opposite.

Gabriel is a significantly better player than Milroe and has four more years of starting experience. Since both only have one more year anyways, it makes sense to take DG as the "rental" while allowing Simpson/Sayin to develop behind him. Tough for Jalen but this is a business and I'm sure he'll find success elsewhere.

Dude Saban gave 5 different QBs lots of reps last year. That's unheard of especially in the Fall. It was completely open. Milroe was the best QB we had this year and as I predicted in April, he lead us to being SEC Champiins and the Playoff. Next year, he may not be the best QB. We'll see.

Dont care about the Oregon staff, but Lanning is friends with Schumann at uga, and I would really like to get him away from Kirby. Payback

Would definitely prefer Schumann to Lupoi. Oregon's defense didn't impress me in the games I watched.

I agree, but a returning starter under Saban has always had a leg up going into the next season, especially at QB. Lanning/whoever may be much more receptive to a new QB1.

It’s not going to be Lanning according to my sources.

That’s really funny because many on this board thought Ty Simpson was going to transfer to Oregon!

I have an NFL connection that happens to be in contact with Lanning.

Basically he’s never going to sign up to follow Saban, because no one will ever be good enough.

Basically he believes only an incredibly arrogant person will take the job after Saban.

The name that was thrown out as an example
Of someone who would be arrogant enough to try and replace Saban…James Franklin.

Anyone who has this mentality is a loser, betting on themselves to fail.
