For all his faults, and all his short comings, I’m just here to pay my respects to that TD catch that kept our asses from collecting another L

Feel free to hate but the dude earned his place at the table today when we were way the frick down

He's part of Bama lore forever like Roy Upchurch.

People forget but a shitty Auburn team damn near beat us in Tuscaloosa in 2009.

Not sure I understand the hate Slade gets on here. Jamison regularly drops wide open passes and gets no grief. Metchie drops passes and gets nada. Slade’s out there doing what the coaches ask him to do. Fielding punts is not an easy task. We really don’t have a clutch receiver that doesn’t have the occasional drop this year.

He does not have "good hands." He is the least athletic player to start games in the Saban era. He has no more than a three inch vertical. He is always covered. He never catches a contested ball. He has a 4.7- 4.8 forty. He has the least amount of YAC maybe of all time in all of NCAA football. I could go on...

Did you see what Brooks did down the stretch ? Awesome right ? Yeah, he'll be back on the bench next week so Bolden can play.

Yeah, runs a 4.3, and averages about 20 ypc not even same species.

Metchie has pretty reliable hands

No idea why they ask him to do anything. Nothing he does that somebody else on the team couldn't do better. Sorry for the blunt talk, but I'm tired of Bolden taking reps from real athletes that deserve more PT

Okay you're right! My bad, it was at JH.

Auburn was still shitty though. Everybody seemed thrilled to win it back then.

I don't hate Bolden at all. He just isn't very good. I'm sure he's doing his best.

Yeah I had brought up the 2009 Auburn game because we needed a R9y Upchurch TD catch to just sneak by a 7-5 Auburn team QB'd by Chris Todd. He was better than Finley but not by much.

But as someone mentioned, I was wrong and 2009 was at Jordan Hare. The point still stands that sometimes champions squeak by shitty teams.

1992 Alabama was lucky to beat Southern Miss and Moo State. And many times we've won titles we were lucky to beat LSU.
