Serious question: why has Milroe stopped running?

There were numerous times today that Milroe had green grass in front of him but he refused to tuck it and engage his best asset by turning on the speed. Get in the open field and who knows what happens then. It’s better than an errant pass way off target. Why has he foregone the QB scramble? The designed QB runs aren’t working. Why not take advantage of the opportunity?

You didn't hear him tell media before the Michigan game last year, "I came here to throw the ball not run it."
He fancies himself a pocket passer, but cant point the pocket out on a white board.

He doesn't really know wtf hes doing. Sometimes the protection was shite & other times his decisions were shite.

He has never liked contact. He runs out of bounds, lays down, etc.
He had plenty of room tonight where he had running room and still could've slid down yet he wouldn't do it.

He may be dinged up with something we aren’t aware of. Or, he doesn’t want that contact anymore and believes he’s a pure pocket passer

Honestly, I just think his priorities are more a out his NFL stock and not the team. Hes been playing straight up selfish football. He either needs to play to his strength or we play another player

Whatever the case is, he should take a seat.

Milroe has never been a consistently good natural runner despite the fact that is what he does best. He doesn’t have good instincts and isn’t twitchy. Only time he is successful is when there’s a hole and he utilize his straight line speed.

I dunno but a runless Milroe is about as useless as male nipples when it comes to playing quarterback in top level college football.

Bc he’s too good a pass thrower to waste time running. Just watch the games!

He rarely runs unless it's by design. However he does seem a bit hesitant, think he is banged up. He is not running with the authority like he was early in the year.
It also seemed like they are calling less designed runs for him lately

Yep. He runs pretty fast in a straight line. And he has a strong arm. Every other single QB thing he's always done average or below average.

But that’s exactly my point. He had open field in front of him and time to get up to his top speed. It wasn’t a crease, it was nothing but grass. Yet he’s still trying to find an open man, throw on the run, or throw across his body. It’s not even close as far as percentages go. If you’ve got that much space in front of you, tuck it and take off. And DeBoer needs to tell him to take the sure thing.

I think he's looking out for his future. He's protecting his best assets...his legs....sure isn't his arm

He appeared to already be dinged up going into the South Carolina game. He was slammed down onto his shoulder during that game, winced and clutched it. If it's affecting his throwing (and I think it is) he should let someone else prepare and take over until he's ready to go.
