murphy's patience with the leadoff hitter is far beyond anything i possess. her fielding keeps her in the lineup. but theres no way she should be leadoff hitter. yes i realize she finally got a hit and broke her o-for, for the playoffs.

The softball twitter account tweeted that Brown has a hit in every game so far in the NCAA tournament...

She was 6 of 9 in the regional.

prior to that she had been something like 1-10 in the SEC tournament. Has only 12 RBI's all year. I am for putting her down the lineup and moving someone else up there. She cant get the ball out of the infield to save her life and stepped out of the batters box all 3 times she put the ball into play and was not called for it the 3rd time

It doesn't matter if she can't get it out of the infield if she beats the ball to 1st. I mean she's hitting over .300 and an incredible base stealer. Not sure where else you'd want her in the lineup

She is the perfect type of leadoff hitter for a softball team. Exactly what I would want.

but her style is useless with runners in scoring position which happens often during the game. I would be happy if they did away with the slap bunt

on a slap hit the catcher threw down to second and nailed the pitcher in the face. They assisted her to the bama clubhouse
