Saw a mock draft on ESPN yesterday with Ty going to the Rams in the 1st round.

This would actually be a good situation for him. Sit for a couple of years for one of the better NFL franchises, learn from Stafford and hopefully take over in two years.

I’d hate to see him get thrown to the wolves with some team like the Jets or Saints, start him and he gets sacked 40 times in his rookie year, having ZERO to work with with those two crappy organizations, and have his confidence shattered.

Who did that draft have the Steelers taking? Most have him going there.

Don’t recall offhand. My fat arse was on the treadmill and it was all I could do to keep up. Steelers might be decent spot.

There is a guy on the NFL draft subreddit that insists he has a source in the Rams building that told him the Rams guaranteed Simpson he would be their pick in the 1st round with their second pick. Its one of those things that no one has any reason to lie about. He didnt start a thread for attention, it was in a comment chain in a different thread.

I tend to believe it, they need a QB for the future and its a perfect situation for him and them.

That would be an amazing landing spot. If Stafford has 2 more years in him, that would be a wonderful understudy, great offensive head coach, and the owner ship is going to spend money/try to win

That would be three former 'Bama QB's in one division. I doubt that's ever happened in the NFL before, from any school. Pretty crazy.

49ers - Mac

Seahawks - Milroe

Rams - Ty

Ian Rapoport was on the Rich Eisen show yesterday and alluded to the same thing. Idk if the reddit user is an insider as well but there's definitely smoke between Ty and the Rams.
