Milroe is from Texas, was committed to Texas before the other kid committed to Texas who is now committed to Ohio State. Bryce would be crazy to leave Bama with the way the table is set for him.

I heard us and texas are just swapping rosters. Make it easier for the mass transfers that are leaving us.

We could lose flood and the special teams coach who's a huge recruiting edge for us in the state of Texas !.Man in game play calling is what separates the top Oc's.Dabo tried to play it off, but he could not handle being primary play caller after losing elliot for the sugar Bowl...

It's possible this year too, you know.

So, this rumor sounds pretty legitimate, if not probable.

People were NOT excited when Saban brought Sark back after the Falcons fired him as OC.

Saban knew this was coming. He has candidates in mind. We'll be fine.

It is annoying this gets announced a week before the NC game though. Since they can put a clause in contracts that gives these guys $50,000 for taking a dump, you'd think they could at least have a clause stating no job announcements until the season is over.

Will Saban hire Sarkisian for a third time when he inevitably succumbs to the meddling involved with the Texas job?

I'd rather pull off what Dabo and Clemson have with their coordinators and keep them for years while also being good.

How many of those guys have been offered jobs as good as Texas or Tennessee or Georgia?

Jeff Scott was with Dabo for years and took the USF job. Morris took the SMU job.

It is what it is.

Jesus fricking christ. Every team in college football will have an ex Saban assistant at head coach soon. This is fricking ridiculous.

Texas could hire ANYONE, and they choose to hire an offensive coordinator that hasn’t had a head coaching job in ages.

I swear these programs are just trying to hurt us at this point. They don’t even care about success.
As good as Sark is, he’s absolutely not qualified to be the head coach at one of the top programs in the country. Lane Kiffin is more qualified. This is fricking bullshite

He's ok, he has some Texas ties that have been strained recently.

The Brockermeyers apparently do not like Herman at all...

Sark is qualified but as a head coach he's been about equal to Herman. On paper Sark isn't an upgrade over Herman. Texas is betting on the Saban finishing school to make hiring Sark a success.

But the timing of this is as good as it could be for us. He has nothing to worry about in terms of Texas stuff the next 10 days.

There are still distractions stemming from it. You don't think this will effect the players leading up to the title game?

Ehh...i would think that this isnt a spur of the moment item. Its been planned for week 10 days...hence the AU decline of interview. No he can hopefully focus solely on game prep with no need to focus on UT for the immediate future.

When did Texas play their bowl game? This just seems like weird timing to me, even after they backed Tom. It’s almost like they got wind that they could get someone big (Urban) and pulled the cord on Tom

Sark is an excellent play caller and might be my favorite during the Saban era, but we go through this every time we lose a coach. Some fans panic for apparent reason, Sark is a loss but I’m excited to see who we hire next.

We need to hire Joe Brady as OC. I know it won’t happen, but that’s who we need
