He didn't throw any interceptions Saturday, I guess that's how he earned the job.

I’m not sure that’s the case but I’m almost sure this was planned on a weak opponent because Milroe seemed to be completely fine and show good sportsmanship. Like he wasn’t worried. Go back and watch his body language.

It doesn't take a genius to figure this out. You take what you have see what they can do well and tailor what you do around it.

Don't ask them to be what they are not. Milroe is not Mac Jones. He's more like Deshaun Watson and we all know what he did to us. Not as good a passer than Watson but maybe even a better runner.

Move the pocket, get him out in space play to what he does well.

Can't pass anything close and is a less instinctive runner. Yeah, he's Watson.

Boz,

is it possible Saban kinda did this on purpose to lure Ole miss into a trap?

I'm not Boz, but I think we have to stop acting like Saban is playing some weird long game or trying to play 4D chess. He has to start getting the little things right before we give him that benefit of the doubt. IE: getting the right assistant coaches. I mean we kept Golding for 3 years too long BOB should have never been hired, and we replaced them with guys that don't exactly meet the "standard". 2016 Saban yes, 2023 Saban, I feel like he is trying to not hurt feelings.

Who are the troublemakers? Do they have a distinct look or personality? How do you know they are troublemakers?

We wouldn't have to worry about Milroe if either of the other two would have had a better showing versus USF. Everyone was saying any QB could have done what Milroe did against MTSU but FAMU threw for 374 yards against USF and we barely reached a hundred yards. ??

Translation - Ty and Ty both stunk it up really bad. I was hoping one of them would stand out. They didn't and Jalen was seen several times cheering for them so I will say that his leadership is why he is back at QB.

To me he’s more like Mike Vick except he’s right handed, taller, weaker arm, not quite as accurate, and doesn’t run as well.

I know everyone was very clearly viewing Simpson’s performance through a hopeful lens. He can clearly make the throws, but he was a statue out there. If you take away the throw to Dippre, there weren’t a lot of positives other than that he was light years better than Buchner (which amazingly means nothing).

The options aren’t great, but I do think it has looked like, up until now, that Milroe is probably the way you need to go. I’m not saying it’s ideal, I’m saying it’s what we have to do.

I just have this feeling we just turned a corner. Can’t explain it. Hope I’m right.

I'm not sure what anyone thinks Simpson did wrong against USF. The o-line was straight trash. Milroe wouldn't have done any better either. Simpson didn't do anything special, but he made the only plays that were there and didn't frick up.

Considering I have heard nothing about "troublemakers" on our team, no, it's not obvious. Who are these troublemakers?

LET'S GO!! He's a great young man. I've heard from people that are in direct contact with him often that he's just an awesome guy and super nice. The team likes him, too.

He won't be perfect, but he's the best we have and it's obvious.

I hope Rees can actually build an offense around him and not try to put a round peg in a square hole.

Because it’s not the offense they installed for the season.

Could they put those packages in? Maybe.

I don’t think that’s what they intend(ed) to do with Milroe.

It may not be the hand they hoped for, but it’s the hand they got. We’ve got lemons, so now we need to make lemonade instead of hoping they turn into strawberries.

I really like him, and I said more than once that I was pulling for him. But, after the Texas game, I just really have my doubts about how effective he can be.

I don’t think the OL would have looked as bad with Milroe because USF was just speed rushing around our fat tackles with 220lb rushers to get most of the pressure.

You can’t do that against Milroe because you have to maintain rush lane integrity. You either have to add a spy (committing 5 defenders) or mush rush (which people around here are very familiar with).

I think this is why the OL looked even worse v. USF than Texas despite the obvious talent disparity between the 2 defenses.
