I mean, people are talking about it. Seems like a reasonable question

Yeah, and people have been talking about Ty’s possible back injury and struggles late in the season, why not ask Ty about those things or ask KDB if he’d consider benching Ty for a series or two?

Heck, ask Roberts how he feels about not getting PT or ask KDB why Dre is still suspended.

Y’all can be coy if you’d like, but these are some dumb fricking questions being asked by guys covering Bama football two days before the Rose Bowl.

I know they are de facto professionals now, but I just don't particularly care for reporters putting an 18 year old on the spot like that. I mean what exactly do you want him to say to that question?

Roberts not getting PT and how he feels about it has no public interest.

I suppose an update on Dre's suspension is newsworthy but that'd mostly depend on if the DA dropped the case or a plea deal was reached.

Again, asking players in possibly their last media availability before the portal opens if they may enter the portal is not a dumb question.

I think people who say it is dumb are letting their fandom poison their rational thought. I'd rather the players not be inundated by questions that aren't focused on this football game because I care about this football game. The journalist aren't forced to use an AD talking point script. They are paid to ask questions that are newsworthy and drive engagement. Portal talk is engagement bait.

ESPN.com has the Ryan Williams news linked on the main tab of their mobile app. I rest my case on the newsworthiness of the question.

why are they goading for negativity
Because most the Bama sports media is ran by auburn and they are dying for some bad news on Bama.

Im glad hes staying. I hope he works through his issues and can optimize his great potential. That would make him a better and stronger person. He has talent through the roof but has hit a development wall that hes going to have to grind through.

College football is a purely business enterprise and employees should be managed accordingly.
I admit to saying he was leaving…. Because the alternatives are either things changed or he just sucked.

I think fan opinions of Ryan have effected him.

No doubt its a head thing.

He has been just dropping silly catches that 9th graders would make

Too bad you can't accept truth. Your response says a lot about you.

Thank God.

That kid is special. He's got true character... despite the fingernail paint.

But I have rarely ever seen talent like him after the ball is firmly grasped. I am thinking he is still mentally adjusting to hard hits. I think that's why he's so collision avoidant (with WILD talent) after a catch. I think if we put a few pounds on him, and got him used to contact... he will be magical.

Regardless, leave him on the starting line up indefinitely.

I am a huge Ryan fan. Huge.
