There is a reason he was fired after one year in the NFL, do a little research before declaring this as the best hire ever.

He was the best OC in CFB at UW by a large margin and Bama has tried to hire him three times.

This is a grand slam hire, period end of story.

Someone had to be blamed for the Seahawks not making the playoffs and it wasn’t gonna be the first year head coach who called the plays on defense

Not saying it was Grubbs fault just saying he was the odd man out glad to have him calling plays this coming year hopefully with a capable quarterback

Steve Sarkisian was fired in the NFL too

So was Lane Kiffin, the guy Remaster says Bama should have hired for head coach.

Did anyone ever actually hear this or have it confirmed by anyone? Or did some dumb redneck see she was black and from Michigan, and just assumed she didn't want to move to the South, and everyone else just kinda rolled with it?

Pretty much this. Grubb has coached in quite a few back water towns in Michigan and South Dakota that make Starkville look like London.

The first-time head coach with a defensive background should have hired a veteran NFL offensive coordinator. I don't doubt Grubb left something to be desired but he'd never done a 17-game NFL season before. He was also doing it with a middle of the road starter at QB and an awful offensive line (a consistent problem in Seattle over the last decade or so).

He got scapegoated to some degree. However I don't think it was smart for a defensive coordinator getting his first NFL head coaching job to hire a college offensive coordinator. Two guys learning on the job is tough.

I saw it as Grubb and Macdonald had different philosophies, not that either of them were necessarily wrong. The HC will usually win out, as he wanted a more complementary(conservative)offense to his defense.

If we get even B+ level QB play and can find a RT I think the offense could be electric.

Who will replace him in 2026?

Who cares, let’s play 25 first.

Seriously.

This is NIL era CFB, everyone is playing on one year contracts. This was a huge hire, every Bama fan should be ecstatic tonight and Sheridan gets to work with him for another year if a change is made in the future.

Agreed. We are very close to being really good on offense. Hopefully this is the answer to any remaining questions.

Best news in a while.

So... whats the final tally on how many coaches / coordinators that had their career derailed by Milroe ? Has to be a record.

I went to the Seahawks Cardinals game her in AZ, it was noticeable the bad run blocking of the Seahawks, I'm sure that influenced his hesitation to run the ball

Yeah... that's so odd.

They bashed this man's wife because he wanted the NFL.

All of a sudden the wife they hate (I wonder why?) is magically not against Alabama.

Absolute losers

It was widely reported the family didn’t want to move.

Not wanting to uproot a family in HS is reasonable.

Not wanting to move from the politically liberal pacific NW to the deep red south is reasonable for someone with that worldview. I wouldn’t move my family up there for the same reason if I had similar career opportunities here which at the time he did.

But the family is and was the reason Grubb didn’t come previously unless all available information is wrong.

I’d guess most parents have passed on job opportunities due to family related considerations as long as a similar job was available where you want to be located.

No one was against Sark who had a black wife at the time. Maybe chill on calling people racists and losers simply for pointing out widely reported facts?

Please provide us links from reputable sources for this so-called widely reported rumor.

The guy wanted to go to the NFL. That is why.

The guy is also very tied to the hip with KDB. That was why he didn't join Saban.

Instead if the facts you absolute losers make up nonsense that fits your narrative.

Why should I? People don't chill when they make up bullshite in am attempt to rationalize their bias.

It's just standard that you guys are more upset when people call you out for your BS than you are when people are spouting the BS rumors.

I could do all of that but based on your response you’ve already made your mind up and aren’t worth engaging.

It’s hilarious to watch you group other people based on your perception of their race and assign them motives as a result while calling them racists though. Your statement is the textbook definition of racism.

Hopefully with prayer you can move past your racial biases and find happiness in life.

IIRC there was reporting that he wanted either the Washington HC job or the Seahawks OC job because his family liked Seattle and he didn't want to move. Our fans are the ones who took that and turned it into his wife being a radical BLM communist who hates Real America.
