I agree. If Auburn can hire Pearl, we can hire Pitino.

Do not want. He’s in the twilight of his career and too much baggage.

He is kind of old 65. But maybe he wants to redeem himself before he goes out. He is an incredible coach.

He does want back in coaching. If we could get 5-7 years out of him, we’d be a beast on the court.

Yes and trump colluded with Russians.

Don’t call someone guilty without researching the truth. Do you have evidence for the claim that he “hired hookers for high achoolers”? Do the courts?

Are you sensationalizing slightly?

As long as the hookers were both clean and hot, who gives a shite. Everyone has to pay for it anyways so what’s it matter if it’s dinner, a movie or a college basketball coach? Lmao

Rick Pitino is one of the worst, and certainly most far-fetched, hires Alabama could make. Good thing it will never happen. Alabama isn't going to hire a guy with that much baggage that's just begging the NCAA to come snooping around. Not to mention, how in the world would Rick Pitino be able to get players? You know the NCAA would be watching his every move.

Slick Rick is 66 years old and has so much baggage he makes Kelvin Sampson look like he's got a carry on. Even if anyone within our athletics department were stupid enough to even try to hire him, the NCAA would probably slap a show cause on him and block it.

Too much baggage maybe, but the dude can still coach.

Call me reckless, but I’d hire RIck Pitino in a nanosecond. One of the most brilliant minds to ever coach the game, no debating that.

Could he get players? Hell yes he could for the simple fact he can he take them where they want to go. Getting them in the league.
Most players don’t give a damn about baggage. They want know if the coach can make them a star player and Pitino can without a doubt.

He may but 66 but I would guess his mind is still sharp as a tack. He hasn’t forgot how to coach.

Pitino will forever be tarnished. No matter what he does. So I say take give the man another chance, roll the dice, let the chips fall where the may. I agree... hire this motherfricker tomorrow. Probably could get him far a good bargain right now.

They do when you can't pay them because people are watching the coach like a hawk.

I don't doubt for one second that Rick Pitino can and would attract top talent and win at Alabama, but I guess my concern comes from the viewpoint of his longevity in the coaching world (65 years old), and then all of the recent NCAA baggage he's got. Am I wrong in thinking that it's still possible he could end up with a show-cause after this pay-for-play/shoe agent scandal is wrapped up?

Of course he could (and probably will). There's a reason he's coaching in Greece.
