When he already has hundreds of millions, why would you risk your legacy for a couple of seasons? He went out as SEC champion.

I'd hate to see him damage his Bama legacy and I don't think he would. I don't think Coach Bryant would be thought of in the same way if he spent the '81 and '82 seasons coaching back at Texas A&M.

Like I said in the CC Board, the one who will put the kibosh on this is Miss Terry. She just retired from 45+ yrs of being the coaches wife. She ain't gonna want to go back to that. Especially in a dump like Red Stick.

You know, if he does, so be it. However, I just don’t see it. He HAAAAAATES NIL (or at least dealing with it). His reputation is near flawless and etched in history as the GOAT.

If he REALLY missed coaching but didn’t want to deal with NIL and not have much pressure, I could see him coaching Division III or even NAIA. Kind of as a hobby.

People overlook Saban saying, that his last season took a toll on him physically. He finally started to feel his age. That was almost two years ago.

From what I’ve read the Governor has basically got involved. All indications looks like he wants to have an incentive base contract.

I can’t see $25mill a yr for Saban plus having money to purchase players in the five star shopping mall.

I’m guessing Saban is looking at the Bill Belichick fiasco and saying no thanks…I’m good.

Hell I hope he takes the job , saban was great before nil, transfer portal, he kinda started tailing off little by little year after year. It was very subtle but we started having a lot closer scores , we still won them but just not dominating near as much.
He is the greatest coach to ever coach in my opinion, but this nil era is just not for sabans style of coaching. I think he would win at LSU but I don't think it would be near as much as he did at bama.

Bama is a special place that makes great coaches elite and even bad coaches win 10 games . If saban never left LSU I think he would have won a few more nattys, but I don't think he wins six.

I’ll put it this way. He is closer to a Billion than 250M.

NIL isn't the issue with the current system.

It's the Transfer Portal.

I think NIL is going to calm the volatile high school recruitments we've seen since 2005 to 2025.

Kids aren't flipping in this class like year's past. Kinda like college basketball recruiting.

The Wild West of the Transfer Portal needs to end.

Bad coaches have won national titles at a lot of programs.

Let’s not overthink it.

IF LSU could cough up $100 million they could get Lanning from Oregon. Neuheisel is a joke

Funny, that's the EXACT same terms some FAN BOY on the rant said throw out to Nick, last week.

I don't believe most of any of what the 'analysts' say. Could it be true, possibly. Could it help right the ship, absolutely. Could it harm Saban's legacy -- anything less than perfection - it would.

As this board knows - NIL, Portal, Saban's own changes and locker room poison, all helped Saban say adios before he wanted to.

He looks very comfortable kicked back in his recliner with a blanket over his legs. He won’t be coaching anytime soon!
