Grubb’s wife isn’t letting him within three states of the Deep South

If his wife makes the decisions about where to live, then I really don't want him. Especially if all that bitch does is spend his money.

So? So did Rhett Bomar, Asiantii Woulard, and Blake Barnett.
A) None of those guys were the top overall recruit
B) You called Sayin mid, what do you have to base that on?

No. Those guys BEAT the top ranked qb in their classes at the Elite 11.
Sayin is mid. Played at a mid high school.
Yall need to realize that 5* from BFE high isn't the same as 5* from IMG, Bishop Gormon, or Mater Dei.
If you can't see the differences between a qb like Bryce fricking Young and Ty Simpson, even in spring ball, IDK what else to say. Bryce played real high school football in a super competitive district. His highschool produces NFL talent. Simpson played football where his Uncle Goober was the ref on Fridays.
Sayin is a lanky kid from a beach town in California that isn't a high school power. He threw for 2700 yards his final year. He's mid. Will throwing the ball to Jeremiah Smith make him look batter than he really is? Perhaps.

I imagine programs are going to arrive at taking a blue chip every year at QB and maybe take an additional developmental prospect every year or other years.
That would be a wise way to handle things IMO.

Vick was a bit raw coming out of HS but watching his film from HS, you can see the freakish athleticism even then. He was WAY better of an athlete than Milroe was/is.

Speaking of dear diary, has there been any word at all on Grubb?
Doesn’t seem like it’s happening. KDB is not going to demote Sheridan and I don’t get the feeling that Grubb is anxious to coach in the SEC.

The portal has changed that way of doing business. You want to die on that hill, our program is going to have a tough row to hoe moving forward.

Yes, so give the guy the starting job based on some recruiting rankings?
BTW, why is harder for Alabama than other programs?

You are arguing with something you literally just made up in your head. You're chasing your own shadow. You could almost power a lightbulb with the sheer raw brainpower you're harnessing right now. lol.

The sooner everyone realizes that cable "news", podcasters, social media, politicians, and all of Chicken's employees are intentionally manipulating you with hot-button topics and headlines that appeal to your emotions, the sooner we can start having actual conversations again. So, probably never, at least, for this generation.

No, you give the guy the job who earns it on the field and has proven himself to be the best quarterback whether he has or hasn’t “waited his turn” or “paid his dues,” and if someone else walks because of it, he walks, and there’s no sense bitching about it because those are the rules right now. I know it pisses people to no end but the players actually have some control of their destinies and can change their minds if things don’t work out for them.
There is going to be zero point moving forward, if those rules stay in place, in having a pile of 5-star quarterbacks in your locker room because you don’t have enough footballs for everyone and people aren’t obligated to sit around and wait their turn. It makes absolutely no sense.
IMO you need to figure that you’re going to have to turn your No. 1 guy over every two or three years, you’re going to have to develop a backup and you can hit the portal if you get in a bind. But accumulating a bunch of quarterbacks? What’s the point now?

I don't disagree with any of this.

Correct. Just how it is in the current state of football.
