Auburn is hard to figure out. I haven't watched them a ton, but their QB seems below average, their RB, Oline, and WRs seem average at best. Their secondary doesn't seem that talented. Their LBs look pretty good and they have a couple of monsters on the Dline. Just seems like really good teams should be able to scheme around the few things Auburn does well and control the game. Yet teams like LSU, UGA, and UF (I think UF is a bit overrated themselves) haven't really been able to put AU away in games. I'm particularly surprised the AU-LSU game was as close as it was. Thought LSU would have really taken advantage of Auburn's secondary. Didn't see the game though.

Exactly!! Their secondary is the world's worst for hand checking, grabbing, pushing, etc. and they get away with a LOT of it just because the officials don't want to flag them every pass play. The Four Horsemen better get ready because they are about to attend a clinic on dirty secondary play.

They are good tacklers and poor defenders.

No, they're not.

Really good defensive front, average on the back end. Overall stingy defense.

Criminally retarded, crayons-up-the-nose offense, that has 5 plays based off of 1) zone-read between the tackles, 2) speed sweep, and 3) play-action off of that look.

Team overall is highly dependent on momentum, as they are and always have been mentally weak teams. If it's going their way, they're temporarily superhuman. If it's not, they're a pedestrian copy of a 1990s State of Mississippi team located in Alabama.

That's all auburn is.

That is probably the most accurate post describing Auburn I’ve seen.

Absolutely. And like you said, everything is based off of that zone read between the tackles. If it's working then the crayon offense has a pulse. If it's not then they have no shot at all.

How we defend those between the tackle runs will be the difference in the game IMHO. If they get 4-5 a pop we're gonna have some issues. If we stop it for 1-3 yards a pop they're gonna have serious issues scoring.

I will say that the MSU game was one of our most physical games from a defensive standpoint . Even DBs were fighting off blocks and making solid tackles . Hopefully that is the case next week

Overall that performance gave me some hope for Auburn because their offenses are similar and their skill sets as well.

Of course, the injury thing will be massive.
