Defense played well until they didn’t. Not sure if it was adjustments or just toasted from plays.

Defense did all they could until they got tired because the offense could not stay on the field.

I have no clue who should be the starting QB but what I saw tonight is an athlete trying to play QB and could not. To many over or under thrown balls and even the majority of the successful ones were poorly thrown that kept us from getting to the endzone if hit in stride.

Our OL on pass protection was horrid and 5 guys could not handle a 3-man rush most of the game.

Saban has demonstrated in the past he is stubborn and will live or die by his choices, but I disagree with the choice to keep Milroe in the game. Maybe our QBsare that bad that Milroe is the best, but I cannot believe that with the way we recruit year in and year out.

If Rees truly believed Milroe was the best man for the job, I do not think he would have convinced Buchner to come to UA.

The only thing lucky for UA out of the game was it was second game of the season, non-conference, and Texas has a chance to win their conference and stay ranked high. Which could bode well for UA down the stretch if we turn things around. But right now, I have no confidence that Saban will. Hopefully I am wrong but tonight does not bode well for a successful season.

Saban is around this team more than you. He knows when to back off and he knows when to turn the heat up.

When's the last time you seen him "turn up the heat"? Serious question. You use to be able to watch countless video clips of Saban chewing a players arse. Hell it was a common talking point by other teams that players won't want to play for him much longer cause he was always chewing arse. Saban also admitted that him having grandchildren made him soften up. Which goes back to my previous post. I have no doubt he knows this team more than me. As with anything there's more than one way to do something. All I'm saying is what he did back in the day yielded better results.

We are walking out to our plane and the texas team shows up, Sark comes in first and gets coffee right next to me.

I wanted to punch his teeth in but I congratulated him and wished him the best on his season. He was very polite and we chatted for a second. I told him he drew up some nice plays. He made the comment this Bama team is really good and will figure it out.

That actually just happened. Wtf

It’s just like 2015 guys, except there’s no Derrick Henry or OJ Howard or Calvin Ridley or Minkah Fitzpatrick or Marlon Humphrey or Eddie Jackson or Ruben Foster or Jonathan Allen or Daron Payne or…

Remember how you felt when Davis ran that FG back in 2013? I was at my sister’s a for a watch party and 10 minutes after the game we turned the lights out and everybody went home or to bed. It was sickening. Way worse than this. Our season was basically over.

This hurts and sucks and it’s a different time snd a different game today and Saban is getting old and tired, but I’m going to use the old cliche that we “technically” still have everything to play for. It’s unlikely with this team but we can still win the west and go to Atlanta. I think we have one more run in this dynasty before Saban hangs it up.

This team has massive problems obviously. Let’s see if they can fix them.

Drag me if you want but I’m not going to be a pussfied fair weather fan and quit watching Bama football like a bunch of fake fan pussies I’ve seen tonight because we lost to the No.11 team by 10 points. I lived through the dark years when we hoped to beat Auburn and maybe go to bowl game.

Suck it up, bitches.

I agree with this. We played like crap and it's ok to make comments, but some of the BS I'm reading here is way over the top.

I do have to admit the OL failed in pass pro. It’s not 100% Milroe but he is not blameless at all.

Probably, but beside the point. They also lost their last two games. I’m saying the world hasn’t ended, just like it didn’t after 2013.

First win for Texas on the road against an AP top 3 opponent since 1969. Another record broken.

Jalen Milroe had as many solo tackles tonight as Dallas Turner and Chris Braswell combined.

Wow that's awesome man. And he's right. This team is loaded with talent.

A QB change is all we need to rev up this title contender

My problem with that is that based on evidence Buchner is a slower Milroe with a weaker arm

Buchner would be the least talented guy to start a game at Bama since at least Cooper Bateman.

If Simpson isn’t ready this is a lost season.

I pretty much agree with Ty… start the kid against USF and let him have all of the offense he’s ready for. Milroe is a class young man and is working to improve, but his progression reads, and accuracy, are hampering him and the offense. The game time against USF would help him a lot for Ole Miss.

We played against, in Texas, what I think will be the best DL and receiver groups (except for maybe Ohio State) in the country, and against what is probably a top 5 OL. Definitely the best DL and receivers we will see this year. With that being said, our DL was whipped all night. Our OL has difficulty pass blocking, some of which is on Milroe for holding the ball too long. We got zero pressure on their quarterback all night. Overall, we were badly outcoached by Sark tonight.

Here’s my biggest source of frustration right now; we are starting a quarterback who cannot read defenses, stares down his receivers, and has most likely reached his ceiling in development. There is not a person on this board, with all due respect to everyone, that can convince me we don’t have a quarterback on the bench that can read defenses better than Milroe. It’s not about having the strongest arm or the quickest feet, it’s about reading the defense and distributing the football to your playmakers around you. Every time Milroe goes back to pass, I expect him to be either sacked or throw an interception. Sayin cannot get here fast enough next year.

My question is this: how many wins do you see in this schedule? As is, we will not beat A&M in College Station, LSU, or Tennessee. And there are more losses than that coming this year if Milroe is allowed to continue being the starter.

The difference is we don’t have a Henry to bail us out.

Actually, he made a ton of bad throws. Bama’s skill guys caught a lot of bad passes - either leaping, slowing down, or changing the route projection.

The TD throws are expected of a major college QB.
