Ole Miss' starting QB played D2 last year. Their starting RB was 4th string at Mizzou last year. Their leading receiver was at Penn State for 3 years before this season. Their 2nd best WR was at Oklahoma State the year before. Their 3rd string WR was at Wake.
Ole Miss is absolutely killing it finding guys in the portal. You either have to do that, which saves money, or you can do what OSU and Texas do which is just spent your infinite money to get the best players on paper.

I’m just incredulous that we’re whiffing left and right. If you look at the 247sports team rankings for portal signees. We’re at #25 (?!?!). I get it, we don’t have Texas, Texas Tech, A&M money but we’re getting absolutely smoked by nobody schools like Kentucky, Louisville, Arkansas, etc.
Is it incompetence from Courtney Morgan and/or we’re broke? Gotta be those reasons. If it’s money, not a lot that can be done. We simply don’t have any billion dollar alums.
Incompetence from Courtney Morgan can be fixed by firing him and replacing him with someone competent and creative. Personally, I’d fire Morgan and go after Ole Miss’s guy.

We had no business going after either of them imo. We have talented WRs and Crowell coming in. Didn't need great guys. Need great guys on the line. That's what's pissing me off.
