It’s the clock rules. Look at Simpson, Sayin, and Mendoza’s stat lines. They’re majorly depressed because 20% of snaps were wiped out

It wasn’t just WR production. Offensive production in general was down across the board. Only 2 teams finished the regular season with 500+ ypg when it used to be 12-15 teams. Only 6 teams avg 35+ ppg when it used to be 12-15 as well. Not that many QBs, RBs, or receivers with big numbers. We’re basically back to the pre-2010 offensive explosion era except even RBs have lower numbers now
Transfer portal and lack of development (particularly on OL and QB) may have something to do with that. Defenses have adjusted to some extent. But the running clock rule had a big role because it took away 2-3 offensive possessions per game for most teams

I’m good with this ever since he posted a TikTok video asking if he should go back to Miami. Low effort results we saw this year are likely due to players with one foot out the door

Ellis played QB in college and coached QBs at USCw, Western Kentucky, and Georgia Southern. However, his first time coaching TEs was at Bama.

Definitely need 2-3 guys now just from a numbers standpoint even if the top 3 are elite.
