This was his first year on the OL. Prior he was a defensive lineman and also played for E Great Britian's FIBA national team as a forward.

I guess best way to deal with NIL is bring in a guy to play both sides of the line and basketball.

This makes sense. He can provide depth on both sides of the LOS. Also with his length, he can play tackle and guard at the same time.

So, Smothers shouldn’t want an OC who was fired by an NFL team yet he should go to a program whose HC was fired from an NFL franchise because of general incompetence. A franchise who had Julio Jones and Matt Ryan. Your logic is lacking.

He's definitely athletic, I'll give him that.

One of those things happened quite a while ago, and Sark has had really explosive, and generally consistent, offenses since he returned to college coaching. I think Grubb is probably good, but his one year back so far from the NFL wasn't that great. Even comparing him and Sark as offensive playcallers at this point in time is kind of ridiculous.

Nick Saban was below .500 in the NFL. College is seemingly aspiring to become a worse version of the NFL in many respects but it still isn't the NFL.

There are a lot of ways to fail in that league that have nothing to do with your ability to coach em up.

In the clips he is playing both tackles and guard positions it appears.

I would say very few of these guys these days select a school on “scheme”, “culture “ development” even though they use those buzzwords like the nation used during Covid

If they can get each school to sign it will be allowed and this was agreed on out of the House Settlement.
Right. The schools sign it. But the athlete's third party agreements are private. Even if a kid signs an agreement with the University I would be surprised if it survives a court challenge. All very fascinating in a sort of deranged way.

A four loss season in which we get destroyed like we did vs Indiana is NOT Alabama football. I am far from the only one that thinks that way.

Well Alabama football didn't start and end with Bryant, Stallings and Saban's tenures.... there were seasons in between them that still count.

Doesn't matter what level he comes from if he can play... and we can get a S&C program and OL coach who can set things up for success
