We need 1-2 WRs, Ha-Ha's brother and the USC DE.

Have any of the paysites said if we will be going after Arion Carter?

No reason they cannot beat anyone on their schedule next year (it’s easier as well imo). The size along the interior of the DL combined with the pass rush, and as good of a Secondary as any in CFB.

The defense will be good enough to win every game they play (and have been for the past two years with Vandy 2 years ago, and FSU/IU this year being the exceptions).

The offensive line is talented and deep, and the skill players are very talented at every position group.

It’s completely up to Grubb/CKD to get the offense to run the ball consistently and avoid being 1-dimensional. If they can do that, then I think they will be back in Atlanta and the Playoffs for a 2nd straight year..

Some people bitched about Cole Adams fair catching the ball probably 98% of the time. Fact is, in almost every punt, by the time he got the ball, there were almost always 2-4 guys right on him.

It was money. Nothing to scratch your head about lol

Also, this. Aggy wanted a possession receiver to go with all their strike threats.

I did. There was ZERO thread on PR or KOR. It was awful. I actually liked RW back there but obviously there is the whole catching thing.

ETA: I thought they should have put RW back there in some of the lesser games to help gain his confidence. If he fumbles... oh, well.

Horton leaving is the biggest head scratcher for me.

Apparently one of the reasons he came here was because he knew Ty growing up and they played 7 on 7 together

A&M came in with more money and he apparently also knows their QB

Why aren’t you keeping that same energy about this staff getting “outspent by Ole Miss, The Midwest and the Big 10”? Don’t flip now.

Who is flipping? We have lost guys which other teams basically bought from us. We have had other teams with wealthy boosters take prospects we had committed or thought would commit from us.

This staff has filled needs across the board and half of the people in this thread bitching and moaning are either quiet or are switching up now.

Where did I say the staff wouldn't put together a good roster? My concern was specifically about our ability to battle for recruits with the big money players.

I'm a person who has consistently supported and defended KDB, defended Courtney Morgan and truly believe we are close minus a few changes to S&C, and some other coaching areas so why you are pouring out your frustrations at me? I don't know.

Bama wanted to get bigger at the
5-tech/4-tech. Renaud didn’t produce and he is in that same 265-278lb range that Keeley/Renaud/Collins all played at. The staff clearly filled these positions all along the DL with bigger bodies. Last year London Simmons and Tim Keenan rotation at the Nose/Shade position were the only DL over 295lbs. Next year, all 3 positions across the front will be 295-330lbs

Our OL and (sometimes) RB units have been hyped up by fans, media, and even PFF each of the last 2 years. I’ll believe they’re finally good again when I see it

We will have a 1st year starter at QB. Potentially a true sophomore 1st year starter. I can tell you how this will turn out without watching a single game (though I will watch every game…especially the ones against P4 teams).

Why would having a Sophomore QB (one ranked #2 overall in the country and from every indication had a very high ceiling) be an indicator that a failure of a season is a foregone conclusion? Just curious

If I saw a RS Freshman starting game 1 over a 4th year player, I'd sorta expect that he must have been lighting it up in practice and we're in really good shape at QB.

Outside of T Lawrence, Jameis Winston no recent 1st year starter young QBs have won a championship. Tua / Cordell jones both came on late and won a championship in a handful of games or less.

Basically if Russel is a generational talent we got a shot and if not playoffs is about The best we can hope for. That’s what makes it fun I guess.
