We have a terrible scheme and thats why players are leaving. Just look at the IU game. Come out with four down lineman putting pressure on the QB then we go to the formation with 3 lineman and Pierre roaming around. What dlineman wants to get doubled all game?

Keenan was hurt all seaon.
Keenan was as productive as both of them combined last year.

We've got to stop looking at potential and "talent"
This is the NFL now.
Teams are literally brand new from year to year now.
Look at the facts. The stats.
Pierre hs the best player on defense period. Our secondary is elite. Our DL was terrible.

Losing talented upperclassmen DL with lots of starting experience is never a good thing in this current era. That’s just facts.

Championships are won in the trenches. Go and look at the 2015-17 Alabama teams. They were loaded on the DL. Impact defensive linemen are a precious commodity. They cost money. Are we willing to pay ? Or is Roach the issue ?

As productive as Qua and Smith combined? All three play different positions and have different responsibilities in this defense.

If we're going to try to play moneyball with our roster we need a real developer of talent coaching DL even if it means sacrificing some recruiting ala Karl Dunbar.

DeBoer will be fired by mid season. It’s pretty much a given at this point the way things are going. Losing star players, getting beaten by Indiana 38-3. Yeah, this is going to end soon.

I should add, though, that it's essential we keep Kap and Roach. We're doing away with outdated concepts like having an OL and DL, but I think those two might still be able to work a little magic.

Some teams are literally gonna have to create new offensive schemes to field and offense because they have 3 serviceable linemen after the portal ravages their lineup

I would love to know what Nick thinks of this current scheme. I recall when Wommack was hired several former Bama players had doubt about the success of his defense.

What the frick is so funny ? People aren’t coming to watch Alabama get blown out by Indiana and a bad Florida State team. I know that I’m not spending my hard earned money to watch a bad product.
