Ok, this one sucks. Most predicted max of 15 to the portal and we’re already passed that.

This is modern football now. Depth is all going to be portal built now.

Most teams have a stupid amount of people in the portal. Don’t think it’s just us.
ETA: I think a THIRD+ of CFB players are in the portal. In some case, folks will test waters and come back. It’s about $$$ and matching.
How much did we spend for RW and Mbakwe and what was their production? USC paid $550K for 25 yards and 1 catch for one of their players.

1/3 of D1 players are in the portal.

Hopefully these Buckeye dipshites are wrong about this one.

If we’re being honest, Russaw didn’t have a real path with Pierre
Plus it’s not like we use our LB’s well in this scheme anyway

Prior to injury, Qua was our best defensive player. It’s a tough loss, even with Pierre coming on strong. Pierre kinda disappeared at times though.

Russaw entering may mean they struck a deal with either Keely and/or Hill to stay. Russaw was rather underwhelming in his two years but know he was injured most of this year.

Yep. I wanna see the talent play anyways. Supposedly the freshman edge we have coming in is a monster.

Really?

Go look at some older breakdowns when he was healthy at the beginning of the year. Pate went off on a whole tangent about how dynamic he was.

Probably explains Russaw being in the portal

No. Russaw had 2 sacks in 2 seasons. 14 tackles all season.
Yall overrated him big time.
Pierre had that against Indiana alone.

Hill should be a priority now (although I imagine he was even before this news). That dude looks like he'll be a good one.

Very small sample size though
Also two seasons filled with injuries for him

Russaw is a guy that can develop into a great player but no body wants to wait around and do that now.

Injury aside he never came close to living up to his reputation. Never more than a flash or two, here or there. If someone spends big money for him, they're really rolling the dice. And that's not sour grapes.

Love to hear the story of how. I'm not a fan of any NFL team. I wish some well though

Agreed. He'd make a play or two here and there that showed off his athleticism but otherwise he wasn't much of a pass rusher or edge setter. Whoever said he is better suited for ILB is likely correct. Seems to run well in a straight line pursuit, but he's not bendy like Pierre.
