If Bryce gets hurt, we’re depending on those guys. Paul is the obvious go-to and has a strong arm. Jalen’s sample size is too small to make a fair assessment but maybe has more upside.

He does. He just has trouble with figuring out when to throw the ball and accuracy. Some of his throws look under thrown because he waited too long to launch it. Some of his balls trend towards the defender down the field because he doesn’t have great accuracy. Velocity and strength are there though.

Jalen gives us the best shot at a championship if Bryce goes down. Let’s pray that doesn’t happen.

Milroe will answer the question of what Hurts would have looked like if he got to sit and learn to play QB at this level instead of being thrown into the fire from day 1. They have very similar physical traits. Not sure if Milroe has that kind of mental makeup though, but time will tell.

The TD pass by Milroe was very nice, although Baker helped him out a little.

Still don't understand why we refuse to take the starting QB and RB out earlier and let the backups at those positions get involved with the regular offense. Putting either of those guys in just to only let them pass if it gets to 3rd and long seems like a waste to me.

my biggest complaint with saban, from day one, or whenever it was he first showed us he hates playing backups. is his die hard allegiance to the nfl model. after growing up watching bear bryant substitute liberally, its hard to watch kids languish on the bench because the goat is so set in stone with his sub patterns.

I like Milroe, he present different dyamic ... Remind me little of anthony richardson...raw but talented.

Tyson..eh.. wasnt impressed. We're about to be halfway into season and at this point...Should young goes down, we would keep it simple goign forward and use our running game more.

Starters need reps, too.
For experience.
For reward, for it's what they want to do: play.

Should it be fair that you're the best at one position, worked the hardest, yet only allowed to play a couple of quarters a game?

Milroe looks like he can be electric. He'll be our guy if Bryce goes down.

Yeah pretty much all teams can say that if their starter goes down.

But I think we'd still be in decent shape with Milroe.

We'd win games...we wouldn't win a championship without Bryce.

I think Milroe has the higher ceiling. Tyson looks to have a strong arm but if he’s ever our starter we will lose a few games

Tyson has a strong arm needs to be official canon on the Alabama rant.

They have a combined nine pass attempts so how can anyone know other than the coaches?

Any time I see these threads I think you get people that will say Tyson because of his relation to the Bear, and you will get people that will say not Tyson because of their hatred for the “old guard”.

I think both look capable in what little I’ve seen.

Maybe you go two QBs because Tyson probably has a better knowledge of the playbook and more work with the starting WRs. Then you give Milroe packages to make use of his tremendous athleticism.

Maybe he keeps the starters in as long as he does to get them prepared for a four quarter game in the future. Just to keep them in that mindset when we do play tough teams. Just a thought. I hate it too though.

Milroe has the happiest of happy feet. Check out his touchdown pass. That dude is nowhere close to being ready as a passer. But the fact that they are giving him PT means something.

Surprised we didn't take an experienced transfer portal QB when Taulia left.
