Ive backed this guy from the very beginning. I tried to make every excuse for him.
This is year 3 in the age of NIL and the portal. There is no excuse not to have “your guys” when you can just get whoever you want in the portal.
That excuse is long dead.
- It’s year 3. He has 4 QBs on the roster that he recruited and developed, including a guy who he’s been developing for over 3 years.
- He has all of his preferred staff including his right-hand man Ryan Grubb for the 2nd straight year
All of this and for the THIRD straight year the offense looks like a steaming pile of utter dogshit. DeBoer is an offense guy, and the offense has been a consistent mess since he was hired. The defense has been our saving grace for 3 years.
Pure sloppiness everywhere. Operational errors all over the place.
I have seen no improvement in 3 years for any aspect of our football team except maybe the defense. Does anyone really think we’ll win a championship with Keelon Russell? Hell no. 2 more seasons down the fricking drain with this guy at QB.
I don’t wanna hear the excuses. Bryce Young won the Heisman as a sophomore and shredded Miami in his first start. Keelon just sucks.

Sad puddings, hope your fairy tales come true. We have a punter averaging 50+ yards a game. Name me one that got close to that in Alabama Football history. But you say no improvements in any area. Hope you have a better week. ROLL TIDE

I’m always a glass half full guy and that’s the approach I’m taking right now. Sure, Keelon hasn’t looked “elite” but he’s definitely shown flashes of greatness. He didn’t play great Saturday and the offense was pretty stagnant but we still beat an SEC team by 4 touchdowns in his first road start and only 2nd start overall. I also see improvements in the o-line and we have 3 backs who can get yards. The defense is elite and will keep us in every game. I do agree with you that the pre snap penalties, operational issues, and sloppiness are very frustrating and need to be corrected quickly!

against one team coming off a 9-4 season with a bowl win and the other being an SEC road game.

Our 3 backs ran for 5.5 ypc on the road without our best lineman. Last year our 3 leading backs averaged 3.7 ypc

When you go from the worst rushing offense in Alabama history, i guess anything is an improvement. I stand corrected

Every school in America recruited K Russell. He was the #1 rated QB in the Nation. There isnt a school that wouldn't happily give him a scholarship. Chill out and ask your Doctor about testosterone replacement therapy.

Deboer has fielded one of the best defenses in the country. His offense is led by a 19 year old who has exactly 2 career starts.
