Our kicker was dreadful when it counted most

Milroe made way too many mistakes but he had us in position in FG range twice and Reichard choked. Twice. In the 4th quarter.

At least his kicks counted vs Texas.

He's been and is an amazing kicker, maybe as good as Van TTiffi but tonight he deserves some blame for how close we were to losing.

The first one was like a 51 yarder that should have been a 40 yarder if BooB wasn't a moron and Milroe had any situational awareness, so I'll give him a pass on that.
The second one was just a garbage kick. Ultimately though it would have just meant OT, where we would have lost, instead of losing in regulation if they score on the last play.

He is a good college Kicker but certainly not elite. When compared to what we are used to he upgrades to a superstar.

This is a stupid thread. Kid has been a straight up goat.

I think the first one was like 46 yards. Should’ve been 36 yards but still not a long kick.

First miss was 47 and the second was 35.

Once. The first one was a longer FG made worse by a horrible decision from Milroe. He turned a chip shot into a long kick.
The second one is bad, but even the best FG kickers in the world occasionally miss those.
The dude has been an incredible kicker for us. He gets a pass for that one gaffe.
BOB and Milroe deserve 95% of the blame. Milroe is self-explanatory, but BOB forcing him into being a pocket passer and having him continually throwing sideline touch passes when he clearly doesn't have that in his arsenal was asinine. It doesn't take a football savant to see that the passing playbook should have consisted of nothing but over-the-middle routes and roll-outs. On the very rare occasions where we saw those plays, we saw some success but they were way too far in between.

It is a crazy one because in every BIG GAME prior to this Will "MONEY" Reichard always showed up. He's a BIG TIME kicker and it showed on the road at Texas.
Bryce Young & Will Anderson both had wtf (nothing seems too go right) games this season so it finally touched Reichard a little but it happens to the best all the time.
Reichard will bounce back and I want all the naysayers to hold that L when he proves them wrong again.

One of the holds appeared to have the laces in the wrong spot.

They want Milroe to be a pocket passer and capable of running the same plays Bryce Young does. Problem is, he isn't ready for that playbook. If he plays against Tennessee next Saturday, they had better simplify things for him and let him do what he does best - scramble.

They knew when they signed Milroe he didn't pass much in high school.
Simpson played in a pro style offense, and he is a pretty good runner as well.

No it was 47 yards and if Milroe doesn’t run backwards and take a sack on 3rd down, it would have been good

Milroe’s scrambles can be effectively neutralized by simply spying him. A&M did in the 2nd half with great success.

You better have one hell of a defense when your QB is more of a liability than he is an asset. Good defensive teams will setup to take away what you do best from the kickoff and take the chances that you will not have great success with what you don't do well.

This is exactly what the problem is

and we both know this is not going to happen

He had a bad night. But, that doesn't erase how clutch he has been his whole career.

Will had a really poor game. I understand to a point missing the long fg, but the short one, that I haven’t seen from him before.

If he isn't by now, he never will be.
