I shouldn't laugh because of the details but it is funny the idea that with all the investigations at LSU it has somehow resulted in Kansas having to fire their football coach and AD and to this point LSU has only self-imposed a bowl ban in a year they went 5-5 (although technically they could have went to a bowl). Bill Self better be watching his back .

And yet again there's some murkiness over when and how LSU handled allegations of sexual misconduct, this time dating back to Miles' tenure there.
Mighty interesting. One might almost say a pattern is developing down on da bayou.
The Title IX stuff is a different beast than the rest of the issues (Wade, Children's Hospital, etc).
The firm that did the investigation seem to have really put a good effort into it and one thing they really found was that the whole university was a hot mess in terms of Title IX compliance. They checked other departments and found some of them that were way worse than the AD. In their report, they said one department head had a policy that ALL issues were to be reported only to him and exacted retribution on any employee that didn't follow his rules - federal law, state law, and university policy be damned.

This isn’t a CFB story, but seemed to fit best in this ‘other’ thread. Wasn’t aware of the “Independent American Football League (IAFL)” Semi-Pro Football Organization in Tuscaloosa.
Got a springtime football craving? One Tuscaloosa team has the solution
The Alabama Steel is Tuscaloosa’s hidden gem of the gridiron.

In a city that thrives on football, spring can be a little bittersweet. Tuscaloosans miss tailgates, Saturdays at Bryant-Denny and the fun of having something to do on the weekends. Tuscaloosa has hope for those who crave football in the spring. One of the city’s hidden gems is semi-pro football team Alabama Steel.

The 2021 spring league kicked off March 6 against the Alabama Sabers, with Tuscaloosa’s Central High School serving as the Steel’s home field host. The Steel fought hard but ended up falling 21-20 to the Sabers. The next game will take place 4 p.m. Saturday against the Fairhope Storm at Central High. Tickets are $10. Season tickets can be purchased for $35.

Jackson State/Alabama State has been fun.
ASU up 35-28, JSU trying to score with a minute to go. Lots of penalties late though.
ASU picked JSU to win, Primetime's first loss at Jackson State.

They have essentially gone rogue at this point. If they aren't a textbook case for lack of institutional control sanctions then I don't know what would be.

It always makes me feel good when my boss publicly discloses that I was not the first (or even second or third) choice for my job.

Orgeron has also stated that he didn't even interview some of the replacement staff he hired after the 2019 staff turnover.
