I’m not gonna complain about their so-called circus midrange shots, kids hit them every day in their sleep from 12 ft. Couple that with nate refusing to take Mallette off and put some length on their French professional player. It just didn’t make any sense. We kept doing the same thing and kept getting beat by the same thing. The only reason he missed the last one was because they switched on the screen.

If that was the only reason we lost, it wouldn’t be that big of a deal. We absolutely sucked in all aspects of the game especially coaching, except Philon and Williamson (of all people). Our defense is awful, and I don’t trust us in close games under Oats at all. He blew the UT game last year, and he just blew the Ole Miss game this year. It’s brutal

Yep. This team sucks and is absolutely asscheeks in the paint. No post presence. We got bounced by a team playing their third game in three days.

How do you lose a one possession game and the only timeout you call is with half a second left in the game?! Oats was just as horrible as our players tonight but I feel sure he will blame them like always.

Overall I'm pleased with the season. I had pretty low expectations after seeing how bad Noah and Bol Bowen were by mid season. I still think we can beat certain matchups in the tournament. Again, it's a top heavy year, handful of teams that are head and shoulders above and then a lot of pretenders out there and to a degree we are as well.

Huh? We ended up fouling them twice anyway, just after all the time was off the clock. He missed the 1 and 1 and they fouled us. We definitely didn’t make the right call. Not even close

It's a sweet 16 ceiling team. I'd hoped they could get into the elite 8 and have a puncher's chance of beating the top seed or catching a lucky bracket.
However that ceiling isn't secure. I feel like we've got the exact kind of 4/5 seed that gets cranked in the first or second round. They'll be more talented than their opponents in the first weekend but we're one of those teams where the sum of the parts is greater than the whole.

The real season starts now.
This was embarrassing. We’ve had embarrassing losses a few times this season. We’ve also gone in heaters.
We’ll probably be a 4 seed. Go win the games you should and you’re back in the sweet 16 and who knows how the bracket locks then.
