I guess I’m sorta in between you two. My first Bama quarterback is Jeff’s older brother, Gary Rutledge.

Scott Hunter was the QB I first followed. He had flashes, but was an Int machine. Thankfully Terry Davis followed him.

Latham is a 5-tech like Renaud and Edrik Hill got snaps there as well (and as a 3 and a 4). Hill is versatile and really hoping to get Latham back….if that comes to fruition then they should be fine there:

5-tech: Latham/Renaud
3-tech: USC transfer/ Beaman (I think he’s really special)
Shade: Simmons/ MSU transfer/Faga

- Edrik Hill can give you snaps at the 3,4 and 5 techniques. That’s pretty solid imo.

Then of course you have Pierre and Hill as the 2-deep at the Edge/7-technique

I share your opinion on Beaman. Losing him early in the season was a blow. Hope he's fully ready to go when the 2026 rolls around.

Makes you wonder if he’s the replacement if Pierre declares for the Draft. Obviously, I hope that’s not the case. Yes, he can (and has) played with his had down as a 5 and 6 technique (head-up the TE Box) with his hand down, but pressuring off the edge is why he’s so valuable. Would be unbelievable to have him AND Pierre coming off both sides on obvious passing downs….Wommack wouldn’t have to send pressure to affect the passer to say the least. Would be a lethal duo

I hope that doesn't cost us Dear or Hill. Dear on potential, Hill more on experience.

Guessing that means we’re out of the mx for the MI St. transfer

There is at least one Indiana player who was in college when Bryce Young was still in HS.

Beaman actually fits with what we are trying to do. He probably stays.

I watched a number of Michigan State games this year and while their OL was worse than ours I didn’t see anything that would’ve made me think he would push any of the other guys for time.

And if Washington wasn’t pushing Dear or anyone out I don’t see how Clark who they brought Washington in to play over would.

I think we sign Wilson from Missouri if Pierre is leaving and don’t if he’s staying.

We don’t have anyone on the roster who has shown anything close to what Pierre has, dude is really good.

I saw that somewhere a day or so ago, but most people were skeptical at the time. Maybe there was something to it after all.

He had serious knee injury and he got passed by.

Assuming he's 100 percent, hell be just what offense need and we won't need to rely on freshmen so much.

Yall we wont be getting Wilson. Do you know how much it will cost to get him? An elite pass rusher. Lets just not strees ourselves over it.

This thread smells like mothballs.

My first game memory was in 1973 at Denny Stadium. I was 8. Bama beat Va Tech 77-6. Four Bama rushers had 100 yards each.

Let us old Bama baws reminisce, man!

Achilles, so much worse than a knee. He looked really good against Michigan though, and those injuries usually take more like 18-24 months to truly heal so it could be a buy low situation for a player on the upswing coming back from a major injury. Could also be committing money to a guy who is injury prone. As long as the plan isn't to have him get 20 touches a game I'm good with it. I don't think we had a 100 yard game from anyone this season did we?

Please God let Sabb leave.

Sabb is a good football player. I don’t understand your dislike for him. He’s not as good as Hubbard or Red, but he’s not bad

I’m not a fan of he either, I’ve criticized him a bunch.
