ngl, I was dreading at the prospect of seeing Downs ball out in a dawg uniform. Sucks to see him go to OSU too, but easier to stomach.
You can't tell me it wasn't all about the money when Downs is leaving Tuscaloosa to go to Columbus OH, and play for dipshit Ryan Day.

Probably because of that messy situation with the QB recruit last year. It wasn't one of those "we know they offered him money to sign but we can't prove they offered him money to sign" situations like with Aggy and Miami. There were all kinds of articles and stuff detailing exactly how it went down.
Also Florida probably won't fight back because it'll give them an out on Napier and the NCAA gets to try to look like they are still capable of doing anything to curb this nonsense.

If I recall correctly, they offered him a ton of money and he signed. Then they couldn’t pay him, so he requested a release and it got really messy.

I’m nervous about him recommitting. This one just feels like there will be signing day drama. If he’s committed to us then I don’t love that possibility.

I saw where Jameer Grimsley is likely transferring to Florida. He’s going to end up in a worse situation this time next year once Napier is gone.
