Absolutely I'm serious.
Go back and watch Simpson footwork in the pocket, and spacial awareness. Milroe could practice a hundred years and never develop that. Bryce Young and Tua had it day 1. You're simply born with some of these gifts while others are not. Not everyone can practice their way to the NFL.

I would once again like to introduce the Jalen Milroe passing chart against Michigan LINK Ty Simpson doesn’t have a chart as horrendous as that, and that’s why I think this is another Tua/Jalen situation where the incumbent needs to be unseated for the better option
Not defending Milroe but wasn’t Michigan like the top Def in the country? When has Ty played in that kind of game to produce a chart at all?

Hey boss man. Can you start a thread with people's assessment of our starting 22 based on A day plus who may be portalling in like our starting LT from last year.
The check is in the mail.

I mean, I guess, except I haven't. I'm not in here blaming all the missed completions of my favorite player on everyone but him, and downplaying anything the other guys did well.
In fact, I don't even have a favorite player. I don't give a shite who plays any position, as long as they do it well. I said months ago I don't know if Milroe would keep his job. But, so far, signs point to the coaching staff thinking he's going to be the guy. Great. I'm all for it. I still don't think Milroe is cemented as the definite starter all year, but I'm just basing that on what I've seen from him. What he HAS done doesn’t necessarily mean that's what he will do in the future. I certainly think he has better offensive coaches now. But, so does everyone else on the team.

Its worth noting Milroe only had one designed run(his biggest strength) bc it was two hand touch out there.
Also worth mentioning, the sidearm against his body throw from Simpson that everyone is orgasmic about usually leads to bad outcomes when playing in an actual game.

He doesn't run. He's a pocket passer- just ask him. (Even though he has no idea how to step up in said pocket. Lol

Everyone bashing Milroe today will pretend they never did, he was always supported and he was everyone's favorite no one doubted if he has an amazing season.

Just watched the game. Ty definitely looked better in my opinion but more importantly, how many drops did we have?
I really like Milroe but he can’t throw short to intermediate over the middle. If he is the starter, I will fully support him just like last year.

Not sure I’ve seen a lot of bashing. Definitely pointing out his weaknesses and limitations that could get us beat against elite teams.
There’s been a lot of praise in the thread for Ty. I’m not sure if he gives us a better chance to win in this offense. Milroe’s athleticism is a weapon and definitely helped us win the UGA game. If he doesn’t fumble in the Mich game, we probably win that as well. But he still really sucked at reading the defenses and blitzes against Mich and Texas. If he can’t learn that, a loss in semifinals or championship game is likely our ceiling. Kirby won’t make the 2 spies mistake a 2nd time.

There’s playing a top defense and there’s being unable to do anything but throw to the flats and having 116 yards on 20+ attempts. It’s like he’s allergic to throwing over the middle
He can’t throw over the middle and pick up a blitz. We were bailed out by his running ability but that offensive display was as bad as Hurts against Auburn in 2017
We don’t need a world beater, we just need someone like Coker who can consistently move the chains and be average at throwing the ball

Ty had a 5 yard overthrow on a short to intermediate pass over the middle at A Day. Milroe had a 10 yard comeback that hit the receiver in the chest and was dropped. Seems like short to intermediate, right?

You think Coker beats UGA last year? Because instead of having Kiffin as the OC you have Rees... and instead of turning around and handing it to D Henry you have Roydell and Jase. Like you guys are freaking delusional with this hate.

Careful Cowboy or the BSC will downvote you.

Truly. PowHound is talking about Simpson like he is the next Mahomes for frick's sake

I have only watched the A-Day game once, but I thought that Milroe and Simpson both looked good, but it didn't seem like there was that much separation between the two.

Agree. I think Bama is fine with either one. This offense will score. Wars looked outstanding to me and the RBs look like we did 6-4 yrs ago.

Well it was Milroe who beat GA. And that was a MUST win.
I won't forget that

Over the middle? I don’t remember seeing that but like I said, there were way too many drops on Saturday. Milroe just looks like the same exact QB he was last year.
