Heads up for anyone planning on taking I-75 south. In Gainesville this morning, a southbound semi hit a pillar on a bridge overpass and traffic has been horrible all day and is still backed up heading south. Took me three hours to go five miles to get to work. Avoid Gainesville, at least for today.

Link to traffic around G-ville and I-75. I’d suggest checking it if you’re planning on coming through on the way to Orlando. Traffic on alternate routes in town is still bad, folks trying to avoid the interstate. Lots of Gator fans heading to town tonight and tomorrow so it’ll be busy.

If this is the plan, go super scenic... take 301 south or go to palatka and take 17 or 19 south. If you take 17, just hop on i4 in deland. 19 runs you through the ocala forest, you can literally count the cars you'll see on this route.
