The idea it’s not out of the ordinary for a head coach to be in the booth?

Is a HC quarantined for testing positive allowed to be in the coaches booth with other staff?

No. And Boz wasn't suggesting that he be in a booth with other coaches.

Rule prevents Nick Saban from communicating if he is quarantined (247)
Rule:
It appears remote communication is limited to a maximum number of headsets used by coaching staff who must be present in the sideline area or designated pressbox coaches booth.
Rule:

Nick Saban wondered today whether he could have communication with coaches during a game, saying it was something they’d look into. Well, I looked into it and was referred to this which makes clear that’s not possible.

Then what was Boz suggesting?

That's my hope, he test negative... If he test positive again today, it's a wrap.

I was suggesting he is in a booth by himself.

The last coach, other than Saban, to lead our team was "The Defensive Legend" Joe Kines.
In honor of Joe, be great if Sark gives the country a memorable halftime speech.

I could be wrong, but I think communication is only allowed to involve one pressbox coaches booth. So unless it's feasible (and better) for Saban to be the only coach we have in the booth, I don't think he can be in remote communication with the staff or players from 90 minutes before kickoff through the end of the game.

Let’s hope Georgia doesn’t run the inside trout.

"We gotta stop that inside trap"
If Sark says some variation of this Saturday, he can be the next head coach as far as I'm concerned.

In a year where everyone is bending over backwards to ease the rules due to Covid, can’t believe they didn’t address this BS

It'd be kinda neat if Saban would be able to watch practice from Bryant's tower.

I have been in that tower multiple times, albeit years ago. It is very cool, but a little odd being up there.

Ultimately I see this playing out one of 2 ways...
1. We win. It’s incredible. Saban’s machine operates even whilst he’s cut off from communicating with the program.
2. We lose. Okay? The committee will very likely view this loss with a large asterisk and set their attention on the presumed rematch in Atlanta (which is likely to happen no matter who wins Saturday).
Both of these scenarios are seemingly favorable for us, with the second being contingent on winning out of course.

CNS needs to quarantine in a helicopter above the stadium.

Has anyone heard if they got his PCR test back to confirm the rapid test positive? He said yesterday they did the PCR to confirm the first test.

This. With what's already happened to the Big12 and the PAC-12 only playing 6 games, even a 2 loss SEC Champion probably gets in. Postponing this game to the week before the SEC Championship is worse than losing on Saturday imo

It's going to be a miracle if Saban is the only person out for the game. With all the contract tracing and quarantine rules, it's quite miraculous that no one else had enough contact with him to either catch it or be stuck in quarantine due to contract tracing.
