How can he be in isolated booth? That would mean all assistant coaches would have to be on the field unless we have a booth that's not being used?

One thing He could do is speak to the team through zoom at half time and send whole bunch of texts to players LOL.

Maybe Coach Saban can use a UA skybox and be on the headsets.

But, I'm not interested.

That's why you posted it twice. You keep on wringing those hands and the rest of us will hope these athletes can play Saturday night.

Nick Saban wondered today whether he could have communication with coaches during a game, saying it was something they’d look into. Well, I looked into it and was referred to this which makes clear that’s not possible.

Insider who watches practices:
quote:

When can Saban return…several ways. Could make UGA game...

1)The most logical one is 10 days from testing positive with three days of no symptoms day 8,9,10. He would be cleared Friday before Tennessee.

2)He can test three straight days and get three negatives. This would mean he had a false positive. In this case, he would be cleared around noon Saturday in time for GA Game.

3)If he develops symptoms at the end of the 10 days, he will have to quarantine until he is symptom free for 3 days. This can take as long as 28 days.

Fun fact: Saban was great with players today and had them laughing and loose. Saban is master of knowing when to yell and when to be funny.

Prayers to Coach and our AD. Time for our team leaders to step up and lead and for them to show their toughness.

I feel it’s pretty ridiculous to not allow a quarantined coach any communication with the team/staff during a game.

If he is symptom free I really hope they do a second test today. NASCAR’s Jimmy Johnson had to sit out a race earlier this year. He tested positive on a Friday, had to sit, and then tested negative on Monday and Tuesday.

You don't think that one of our bigtime donors wouldn't offer up their skybox to him for Saturday? I wouldn't put it past someone to offer!!

Saban has his own skybox. Zero reason they couldn’t put him up there.

I see why that rule is in place, but there should very obviously be an exception for the 2020 season.

For sure. You’d think they would offer exceptions as incentive for coaches to quarantine properly. I don’t see how it could be any kind of competitive advantage.

Good link! So that's why Saban wouldn't say if he's out or not. It's weird that Saban and Bryne tested positive but rest of teams haven't. I'm hoping it was false positive.

Side note didn’t Joe Pa coach from the booth?
