Is this on the assumption that everyone jumps?

So I know we keep talking about replacing Goulding but with who as a realistic candidate? Lake and Pruitt would be the only hires that would make everyone happy and that’s obviously not happening. I know they’ve mentioned a Georgia assistant but he’s never been DC before. I think for better or worse Goulding is our DC next year.

A veteran who has been through the wars. A guy that has his own mind and defensive principles. Go get that man whether he's employed at the time or not.

If Kiffin has any sense he rehires Mike MacIntyre, but that's a brand name that's well worth Bama taking a hard look at as well.

Strong runs the 3-3-5, not the 3-4.

The table could be of infinite size and exist in every dimension, and 'hiring Charlie Strong' would never be on it.

The old me would revive and beat that horse over and over again should Saban decide to keep Golding. The reality is that Saban may very well think that all of our issues rested solely on injuries and inexperience. Of course the injuries were devastating and without them I think we are undefeated and the number one seed in the playoffs getting ready for a Jalen/tua dual. I feel cheated just thinking about it but I still believe that Golding is just a knowledgeable football guy that can't teach kids how to play at this level and he got his arse handed to him by every decent OC he played against last year. We will see how much confidence Saban has in him soon enough I guess.

The injuries hurt us in a bad way, yes. But what bothers me more than the injuries was the countless illegal substitution penalties and our players looking looking to the sidelines presnap like they were completely lost all the way up until the ball was snapped. That falls on the person calling the plays and substitutions not being prepared or making quick enough decisions. Golding might have a great football mind but I just dont think he has what it takes with the quickness to make decisions on the fly at a high level.

Also by watching his interactions on the sidelines with the players, he just doesn't look like he's a good motivator or coach during the game. Go back and watch some replays of kirby and Jeremy pruit when they coached at Alabama. They were coaching their arses off the entire game and also I think they had a good way of getting the players to understand what they were teaching them. Now fast forward to golding and you just see him standing in front of a dry erase board like he's trying to teach a bunch of uninterested kids algebra or geometry only to watch the same confusion drive after drive, all freaking season, With little to no improvement or adjustment.

I just dont think his coaching style is what we need from our defensive coordinator and I cant really see how anybody says he deserves another chance when he was the one who called the national championship game against Clemson where we got absolutely destroyed

Amazing how experienced players can make a coach look like a genius sometimes. I'm still not sold on Golding. I hope he proves me wrong. Inexperienced aside the Defense just didnt seem to play with a nasty streak like Smarts & Pruitts did. If Moses returns along with McKinney plus McMillon then talent will not be an issue with the new players we signed on Defense. Can't wait till Spring.

You’re not very smart both in terms of football knowledge and grammar

Our Jimmy's were doing about the best you can expect when most of them were playing high school football this time last year. The talent is there, now we just need to develop them

He doesn't strike me as a troll. He is just a negative Nelly. I do wish he would make an effort to capitalize at the beginning of a sentence and learn to use punctuation at the end of his sentence. His posts are very hard on the eyes. If he doesn't want to have an optimistic outlook this offseason then that's on him. Right now I want McMillan and Moses to play next year more than I want Golding to take a hike.

What in the world did he say that could be interpreted as a troll. If you take exception to something that was said why not be specific? It's called a conversation, rebuttal, debate, even counterpoint.

Such a lazy point of view.

Because all he does is post negativity. I've never seen him post one positive thing about our team. Ever. Then you add the horrible grammar on top of it. As a graduate, it's frustrating and embarrassing reading shite like that.

I get that but our secondary struggled in run support and our defense the last two years has struggled. Nothing he said was incorrect necessarily maybe a bit of hyperbole but they certainly struggled containing the run in big games when it mattered but then again so did our front seven at times.

Then social media may not be your thing. Making matters worse, is that this Bama platform in almost behind enemy lines. The SEC Rant is a food fight that takes place in LSU's backyard. The culture around these here parts and this year's winners and losers aren't going to allow for much that isn't negative.

Come to think of it, I'm not too thrilled myself these days.
