Agreed. A question to everyone who seriously wants Dabo: what happens when 20 players hit the portal and he refuses to speak to them because he's a stubborn a-hole, then he doubles down on that decision by refusing to find replacements in the portal because he's a stubborn a-hole? Because there's a very, very strong possibility that happens if he's the hire.

He and his wife both tweeted out pro-Texas messages. Nothing 100% concrete I suppose but could certainly be interpreted that way.

Someone Explain to me something.

We are still in the original window that Byrne promised ... 72 hours. There hasn't been one official statement. There hasn't been one statement by a supposed candidate that they were offered.
All there has been is internet chatter or commentary.

So why are we so upset again?

Apparently he tweeted something about it being a great day to be a Longhorn or something. You know, like how Saban said he wouldn't be the coach at Alabama.

Dabo is one of the worst candidates for CFB in its 2024 form. That’s just a fact. I’d take a gamble on Schumann before Dabo.

Absolutely. Dabo would be an unmitigated disaster.

You’ve been here for awhile, you already know the answer.

That is true. With the early signing date there is really no good way out of clusterfeck for a HC change. 2024 is going to be a shitty year for Bama.

I was hoping for Sark but that was stupid with him at Texas.

I would rather have the Washington coach. If we bring him in and keep most of our players we win it all in 2024.

This thread is ridiculous. We are in hour 38 or 39 of an unofficial 72 hour timeline and folks are acting like we are about to hire an assistant from Bumfrick U

You think Sark just randomly tweeted that for no reason at 11pm on a Thursday? It wasn’t like he was pressed in a PC like Saban was.

I'd love to know who Saban was interviewing for the WR coach position the morning he retired. Just so, ya know, we can fantasize about what might have been.

I seriously want Dabo. But only if he can convince Byrnes that he’s got a plan to use the NIL and portal to our advantage and is willing to adapt. I cant see him coming to Bama if he doesn’t have a desire to change things up from his experience with the NIL/portal while at Clemson so far.

If he can convince Byrnes, then he should without a doubt be our guy. Jmho. But if he brings with him the attitude you’re talking about then no way. It would come down to the interview. But he should get the first interview in my book.

If he worked out you’re looking at multiple national championships. A guy who wouldn’t leave us until he retired. And the train keeps on rolling.
