I saw this Lane Kiffin Tweet a moment ago and completely forgot about it.

Probably the same as Nick. 10-11M

This hire has an impact on millions in revenue. Cutting 1% off the pie is nothing compared to losing 50%

Have to say I'm pretty concerned with the direction of this search. Mike Norvell would not be a good hire, and some of these other names like Rees and Locksley would be disastrous. All while Lane Kiffin sits there for the taking.

Why are you concerned? There's a reason why Bama AD kept this under wrap... for exactly this reason.

The one thing that does concern me is that they appear to be extending the original timeline from the original, if what we were told the players were told today is true.

I'm worried we could lose half our team.

Saban is saying whatever to keep the team in place. NO COACH is worth so much more that kiffen to justify losing half our roster and setting us back years.

We really have no idea what the direction is. We don't even actually know if they ever contacted Lanning.

Because the biggest names currently being mentioned are a guy who just lost to Kirby Smart by 60 and a mediocre OC. Good luck selling the fanbase on this hire if either one of them are the pick.

I'm becoming convinced the Locksley/Drink propoganda is being put out to make us okay with hiring Kiffin

Why are people so anti-Norvell?

Between him and DeBoer, I would rather have DeBoer, but both have won everywhere they have been.

Norvell inherited an absolute mess and built FSU back up. At Alabama, he would get the keys to a Cadillac, not a junker.

Lane would be a fantastic hire but apparently some of our boosters would rather blow up the program than hire him.

Norvell is a mediorcre recruiter whose team quit on him on the biggest stage of his career. No thanks. We should be able to do better.

The longer this drags the more I am like…just hire kiffin. I wanted him to begin with, but it would be better than having three more coaches say no first.

No doubt.

I think the enticing part would be the possibility of having total control. I'm not so sure Texas can offer that.
Perhaps, no buyout as well.

Well that may be what they are doing. Divorce the wife. Never hate the player. If she's gonna stray, she's gonna stray.
