I don't think Bama is as good as UGA, but I think they can win. If the Dawgs are still undefeated, there will be a lot of pressure on them in December and January to finally break through.

If we bring our A game, we can beat Georgia. However, the team needs to take the rest of the season game by game, especially that last one.

Lots of football left, no need to look ahead.

The guys over at CFB nerds ponder whether or not the inconsistencies were just part of the team’s identity on both sides of the ball. It’s sounds pessimistic I guess but I think it’s a fair thing to wonder. Teams don’t always clean things up. Some Bama teams in the past haven’t while others have. For some teams mistakes are just how they play.

I’ll believe this team can be consistent when they prove it multiple games in a row. I think this team at its best is very good. But whether or not they can change for good remains to be seen.

With all this talk about UGA, people are forgetting AU might be hard too. Bama is a better team but that hasn’t stopped AU from challenging Bama or even winning in years past. It’s most likely going to be tough IB.

These are changes I saw that needed to be made the day the first depth chart was released. Agiye Hall being 3rd string is laughable, and I don’t blame him one bit for reacting negatively.

The truth is, we KNOW that none of these changes will be made, and this team will inevitably crash and burn. We are going to lose to Georgia, and that most likely means missing the playoffs.

This team just doesn’t have it, and most of us have seen that since the Florida game. Zero meaningful changes have taken place.
We’re all assuming that we’ll win out the regular season. That’s gonna be a tall order for this team with LSU, Arkansas, and Auburn coming up - all better than Tennessee

Most acting like Bama already in championship game v UGA, gotta get thru iron bowl too which is never easy.

Like 1 BamaRTR says, this may be one of those teams that makes some goofy mistakes, makes bad penalties, but yet mamages a way to win. Who's to say that Bama won't peak at Iron Bowl and make a run at the trophy.

But to say they are automatically going to play Georgia is getting way ahead.

You come in here As JumpinJack and post some dumb shite, get banned, and then start a thread on the SECr crying about it. In that thread, you said you didn't want to come back. So, you open another account to get back on the Bama board?

Hall is not starting because he is not good enough to start.

Nick Saban knows what he is doing!

On the offensive side, we badly miss our running back who is out for the season. We need a quick hitter like him and the kid that transferred to Texas. And obviously center to right tackle, along with receiver needs more guys to develop.

The punter hasn’t impressed me either.

Special teams coach needs to evaluate himself, rushing punter on 4th and forever was something you see from DII

Nick made comments about Bama rushing the punter on 4 and 30 as one of their mistakes.

One has to assume he didn't know the call or if he did he should have raised his objection before the play. If he didn't know the call then maybe he can get on the right channel next game on 4th down.

Bama punter is a joke and it appears it will never change all the while every team we play sends out a Ray Guy look alike each week.

I am not even sure why UGA is part of any discussion right now. We still have to beat LSU, Arkansas, and AU. AU who Saban has a losing record against in JH and when AU is ranked.

Does this team have the talent yes but we are now 8 games into the season and still seeing the same issues on the field with the same personal having issues. Maybe we get some momentum now and the bye week will allow us to clean some of these issues up but I am at the point what we are seeing may be the best we can play. As someone said this might be that team that plays with mistakes and skirts the edge to win.

And for those focusing on UGA already, I agree we can beat UGA if we bring our A game. My concern though based on our lack of consistency is can we do it twice. Because to win the NC we might have to.

I don't think it is a lack of talent, these players are all 4 and 5 stars....It's a lack of coaching and player motivation! Defensive secondary is poorly coached, they look lost most of the time!... Special teams coaching is below par .... Saban made some bad hires in the off season! If Saban don't make a couple of changes we will lose several more games = no playoff this year!

I disagree about Holden. He's obviously big play ability. Sit Slade Bolden
Instead. Let Hall, Baker get reps,
Meaningful reps. I can't argue against
Dalcourt. Georgia will eat his lunch.
Unless he transforms dramatically. Doubt he even has that ability.

This team as currently constructed can NOT beat Georgia. We aren’t explosive enough. Maybe some of the freshmen are a little wet behind the ears, but if they are talented you have to get them reps now in hopes they can help vs Georgia.

I’ll add this:

Don’t think that both teams (Bama and UGA) aren’t already game planning for each other.

GA’s front 7 are great. One of their D linemen is incredible. But there have always been ways to scheme around allowing them to make plays. UGA’s secondary has been a bit suspect. I haven’t seen them play a solid QB yet.

That said, their offense is in the 2010-15 range. They haven’t quite caught up to how offenses operate these days. They’re going to rely on PA a lot, and a lot of running. If our LBs just don’t absolutely quit, and we shut down the run game, they become real human real quick.

Alabama definitely has a shot at UGA. I’m not guaranteeing a win, but we would make a damn fine show of it.

I think some folks have forgotten how much UT has progressed to this point. I was more worried about OM and UT than anyone (I did not see TAMU happening). But we took away their strength and, aside from ST play and 2 busted assignments, we controlled them much better than the score indicated.

I’ll end this novel now.

Slade/Dalcourt/Holden are good enough to win 10 games with, but not a title. The horses need experience, and we need the horses to be elite. It’s time to turn them loose

Bolden is literally left open every play because opposing defenses know the tackle can be made in space after a 3 or 4 yard gain.

It's the Jimmy and Joe's. We're more like 2010 without the talent but a better QB

This sums it up perfectly. People are lying to themselves if they think the talent on this defense is even near 2010, other than 31.

Nobody believed Ole Miss has more talent than Alabama. Georgia has much more talent- on defense.

I don't know why a college head coach who is not coordinating one side of the ball wouldn't know basically every call being made in all phases of the game.
