Mine too. I'm really stoked to see Tua out there. He's the guy that's gonna get it done for us. All of a sudden we're gonna see how fricking good our receivers are

Checking out SEC quarterback statistics, I just noticed that of the qbs with at least 50 attempts, Tagovailoa is 3rd in the conference in completion percentage. Stidham is at 66.7%, the kid at Ole Miss 66.5%, and Tua at 66%.
LINK
I linked to touchdown category because only 15 qbs are listed in the pct category. Perhaps a minimum of passes required more than his 53 attempts.

Tua is no doubt a great talent. I hope Hurts trots our and leads the team well but if he doesn’t I know Tua will give it a great shot. Either way I hope we win this game. Clemson needs to be beat.
Oh and after reviewing Kelly Bryant’s stats you guys would eat him alive if he was out QB.

If there were a better qb behind him, perhaps. Believe it or not, but this is the first time I have ever moaned more than one game about the performance or talent of a UA starting qb. I've generally always been of the sunshine pumper category. I think it's only that now, I see the end coming of this current awesome run and I hope we can take advantage of it as much as possible, because I've also seen the hard times. Last year, particularly, was a wasted chance, imo.

Spot on. It’s all about Tua.
I was generally enthusiastic about Jalen at the beginning. It’s his lack of progress and the presence of Tua on the bench that has me frustrated. And of course, the prospect of possibly losing the best qb prospect we have had since Joe Willie hopped off the bus from Beaver Falls.

So Tua is better than Snake? STFU

I love Tua and I have big hopes for him but there’s no possible way that anyone could honestly say that he’s better than Snake right now.

Actually he reminds me a lot of Snake. Quick release lefty.

I’m a big believer in Tua and look forward to him eventually taking over....but barring Jalen just completely melting down, Tua won’t see the field tomorrow night.

Nope. Tua has been taking reps with the first team. My source (Boz) confirms this and the is looking very crisp indeed.
Expect a Tua package.

No offense here but comparing Tua to others on that list is stretching it a bit. Stidham has 327 attempts and that is against CU and UGA twice. Also the starting QB I thought was Patterson for Ole Miss who is at 63%. Either way until Tua actually sees a lot more attempts and against top defenses and not mop up duty against 2 for other teams no stat Tua currently has holds much weight at this point. Does it mean he is not capable but you seem to be grasping here.

Tua will be ready to go in if Jalen isn’t getting it done. I’m not sure this threshold though. If the game is close I don’t think they pull Jalen. Anyway we shall see.

What is it grasping? I merely commented on statistics and they are black and white. I even added that his limited number of attempts may be what precluded him from the percentage category on that page. The numbers are what they are and we can take it or leave it.

You originally said “Tua would play.”
That was your original comment.
So I see this as a change. Now Tua “might play”.
I really just want the game to get here. If Jalen is rolling, it does make sense that he gets all the snaps. But I’ll be shocked if This happens.
If he’s ineffective? I think Tua plays. But how quickly he plays and whether or not he plays if it’s a defensive struggle... it looks like only coach knows this. No source can know this because Saban would never let this out.
I’m beginning to think we have been taken in by the old “Patton’s Ghost Army” ruse that Eisenhower pulled. Patton was put in charge of the First Army which didn’t really exist. It gave the Nazis much to worry about and affected their invasion preparations.

My source says Tua will play, my opinion is he will play if we struggle. See the difference?
I’ve been transparent about this the entire time.

Well at least that’s progress. Reps with the first team means something. It was apparent that he’ll would freeze over before Tua got in against Auburn.

The Barn game was close most of the game. Not to mention the mass amount of mistakes from people other than Jalen. Bringing in Tua may have set him up for failure.
