The wonderful thing about looking this up, I can't tell you how many times I saw a players name, said to myself (who the heck is that), then looked him up, and realized he was a 4-Star, & I do remember his recruitment. So many blue-chippers in one place makes you forget about a few, but they will all have their chance.

In case you forgot some of the players too, or just forgot how many stars they had, I will put how many stars each player had while in high school according to the recruiting sites. I'll tell you right now...this depth chart is pretty dang impressive, and I see no reason National Championship #17 can't come in 2016. The QB will be very interesting. Coker, McElroy, & Sims we were very careful with, while McCarron was the closest thing we've seen at QB to a superstar. I believe who ever wins the job between Cornwell or Barnett will be closer to the McCarron mold.

Defense wins National Championships....so let's start with them....Here's my 2 Deep...

DEFENSE

DE: 5-Star Jonathan Allen/4-Star Mekhi Brown
DT: 5-Star Daron Payne/4-Star Joshua Frazier
DE: 5-Star Da'Shawn Hand/4-Star Dalvin Tomlinson

OLB: 5-Star Rashaan Evans/4-Star Christian Miller
ILB: 4-Star Shaun Dion Hamilton/4-Star Adonis Thomas
ILB: 5-Star Reuben Foster/4-Star Keith Holcombe
OLB: 4-Star Tim Williams/4-Star Ryan Anderson

CB: 5-Star Marlon Humphrey/5-Star Tony Brown
SS: 3-Star (Should've been 5-star) Eddie Jackson/4-Star Shawn Burgess-Becker
FS: 4-Star Ronnie Harrison/4-Star Hootie Jones
CB: 5-Star Minkah Fitzpatrick/5-Star Kendall Sheffield

OFFENSE

QB: 5-Star Blake Barnett/4-Star David Cornwell

RB: 5-Star Bo Scarborough/5-Star Damien Harris

WR: 5-Star Calvin Ridley/4-Star Daylon Charlot
WR: 4-Star Ardarius Stewart/4-Star Cam Sims
WR: 5-Star Robert Foster/4-Star Derek Kief

TE: 5-Star OJ Howard/4-Star Hale Hentges

LT: 5-Star Cam Robinson/5-Star Jonah Williams
LG: 4-Star Ross Piershbacher/4-Star Dallas Warmack
C: 4-Star JC Hassanauer/4-Star Brandon Kennedy
RG: 4-Star Alphonse Taylor/4-Star Bradley Bozeman
RT: 5-Star Charles Baldwin/4-Star Korren Kirven

I think stars are great for recruiting purposes. Once they're enrolled, it doesn't mean jack shite. I'd rather see their year than their star. Regardless, that's a nice roster.

Baldwin is a 5-Star commit we have right now from JuCo. Many see him going down the same road as James Carpenter.

The most impressive position group to me next year is OLB. Tim Williams, Rashaan Evans, Ryan Anderson, & Christian Miller rotating in and out....HOLY LORD!

The DL starting group is freaky too (Jonathan Allen, Daron Payne, Da'Shawn Hand)

Eddie Jackson a 5 star? I agree he shouldn't have been a 3 star but not a 5.

Korren Kirven played the most at LT and RT this year behind the starters, Greene when he wasn't switching jerseys.

Both were perfect in pass protection this year, albeit a smaller sample size(both had 25-30 pass plays).

Most of all of KK's came from the CSU, since he started at RT. I think he has a darkhorse chance at a spot on the right side...

My early prediction is Bateman wins the job at QB. Don't count him out.

Will be an epic QB battle this Spring and will no doubt continue into the Fall. May the best man win!

SDH is a good fill in LB for when guys get tired. Doesn't usually give up a big play but doesn't make one either. Ben Davis should start opposite to Reuben Foster.

Also Cooper Bateman is not beating Barnett out. Just don't see it

That's hilarious that you say that. While looking at the depth chart, I couldn't believe it, but I thought MLB was the weakest part of the D. And that's weird saying that about a Bama team. Foster is great, but SDH, Adonis Thomas & Keith Holcomvbe? way too many unknowns there. I'm used to McClains, Hightowers, Mosleys, Raglands, etc. I hope Ben Davis & Mack Wilson don't listen to the other coaches about playing time and actually look at our depth chart. Those 2 could see a lot of playing time early if they come to Bama.

Some underselling of SDH going on. He's better than given credit for, he's one of the best cerebral guys and same can said with his speed at the position. At points this past year, they blitzed him from different LB spots.

It's revisionist history if anyone is saying Ragland did anything of note before his junior year either. He wasn't a freshman phenom by any means...

Exactly what I was thinking SDH will start in my opinion. Just BC he wasn't highly rated he has played a lot in two years I imagine he will be another star mlb for us.

Ragland was practically invisible prior to 2014. He made himself tens of millions of dollars by coming back for his senior season.

Ragland was behind CJ Mosley and Depriest so kind of hard to as a frosh and sophomore. Depriest was slow imo but knew the defense.
